We stopped at this roadside soda off Hwy 34 driving back from Uvita to go back to Platanillo near Baru. It was mid afternoon, we were late for lunch. The restaurant had a sign "Sea Food Festival". We spoke to the waiter welcoming with the menu but with limited Spanish, we needed some help. So, he asked his chef to... More

We had dinner at La Casona twice. We choose it basically because we were looking for a budget option, due to the lack of a car were not able to drive outside of town. We didn't expect much as it does not come with a nice interior. But the food was surprisingly good and plentiful. We paid ~20 USD for... More

We stopped in on our way through Uvita and it was a great value and really good food. Kind of the tico equivalent of a diner, with huevos rancheros and a typico breakfast option at midday. All was great.

Great place for "tico" food. Fast service and convenient location make this a great choice. Bright airy location in the center of town with low prices.

Great place for traditional Costa Rican food. I had the chifrijo and the ceviche and it was AMAZING!

Stopped in a for a quick snack and drink while we waited for our friends to finish up some business. We were seated quickly and orders were taken immediately. The food was served up quickly; fresh and hot. Business was slow, so we tried to strike up a conversation with the owner, but he was obviously not interested in talking... More

Great food, really well priced. Good variety. It's near the main Uvita road. It's close to a beautiful waterfall.

We love breakfast here before the market or the bank - or on the way into the city. The typical breakfast is filling and satisfying, and the coffee is good.

This place is in the heart of Uvita. We stopped here for breakfast on the way to the whale tour from Dominical. Had the typical Tico breakfast here and it was tasty. The service was fast and prompt.
