Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food was amazing and incredibly fresh! The hospitality was above and beyond. The personally introduced himself to us at the end of meal and shared incredible history of the Island with us. We’ll definitely be back!

On our last night in Imerovigli, my vegan wife and I wandered over from our hotel to Avocado, as the menu looked to have some nice plant-based options for her. There were some tables available on this windy weekday night in October; summertime is likely...much more hectic. If so, book a table in advance, and dress nice when you arrive: Avocado is worth it. We shared the Santorini style tomato fritters and the grilled mushrooms – both delicious – then my wife had the vegetable pasta and I had a tuna steak, which they warned would be served rare, but it was more thoroughly cooked than that. Everything was great and we left stuffed – but not before we had a fascinating conversation with Leonidos, Avocado's owner, a former Greek Air Force pilot with lots of stories! The joy of going out to eat in Greece is getting a chance to chat with friendly staff. You don't often get to do this in Santorini, since it's so bustling with tourists, but go to Avocado a little later in the evening, when things are mellow. You won't feel like a tourist, but like a guest.More

Incredible food, tasted, presentation and preparation. Also is a nice place to be with very nice staff that make feel even better the experience! Congratulations to the owner and his amazing chef and staff. If you go to Santorini, you must visit this restaurant in...Imerovigli!More

We stopped by this gem on our walk from Oia to Imerovigli, before we headed back to Oia. The place is charming. The food was amazing! We had the grilled octopus and they suggested the fava with it which really enhanced the flavor. We also...had traditional spinach pie. I like it when it is thick with the spinach/feta filling and a nice light crust! It did not disappoint. But the best part was the owner. He was so charming and talked with us for quite a while. Suggesting ideas of things to visit while we were here to enhance our stay. We learned of his years of service as a pilot in the military in Greece and his 40 years of marriage. We were here for an anniversary trip! He gave us a huge hug and smile as we left! Once of our best experiences on Santorini!More

Good food very tasty. However, quite expensive (water was 6,50euros). Service was okay but not particularly welcoming and at times felt pressured to spend more. From what we saw of the starters and bread on other tables, these were very over priced. Overall okay and...the food was good, but not the best experience we have had in Greece.More

We had excellent food and service at the Avocado. The owner stopped by and was very kind and helpful with the menu items. Will certainly stop by next time we are in Santorini.

Food was ok. We were hungry and went for lunch after we’d arrived on the island and our room wasn’t ready yet. Food was nice but not exceptional and at 11 euros for a beer it wasn’t cheap. Service good

Don't walk run to this restaurant. The food and service is amazing! Beetroot falafel was nothing short of amazing and the octopus was the same. We are thinking of coming back tomorrow it was so good. We have been on the island 3 days and...this is by far one of the best restaurants on the island.More

Rip off. Price of Greek water is regulated by law, so they serve Italian water for 4x the price. 2 pitas, cut into smaller pieces was 10 euros, sold everywhere else for 1-2 euros. Food was overall average, and over priced. No view. Place was...recommended by our hotel, mostly because it was closest. Fool me once.More

We walked from Fyra to Imerovigli so we stopped for a drink and a snack. Well i decided to have the Mille Feuille. Quite Expensive (15-18 euros if i recall) but it was an indulgence to remember. A masterpiece. The menu seemed also very upscale....Excellent service. Very nice ambiance. Parking available since the restaurant is in the square.More

We were staying at the apartment across the street and happened to stumble upon this place. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. I am the daughter of a Michelin star chef and this was some of the best Greek food I have...had in my life. We ended up coming back 2 more times during our 5 day visit and are still dreaming of the lamb shank.More

Amazing meal and service. My son is coeliac and they were able to do every pasta in the menu gluten free. Also three of our group are vegetarian and they had plenty of vegetarian options. I had to moussaka, which was the best I’ve had...in Greece so far. My son had the beef fillet tagliata that was perfectly done. The octopus was a little bland. Overall great food and hospitality.More

No it was for the bread - after we looked at the menu and saw it listed the bread as 2 euro per person!
