Eat twice here in our visit back home, great food and great service as always. Food reasonably priced with excellent specials on the board.

I loved eating here and drinking here. The steak was perfection and well deserved after a hike up Skelig Michael. I was a solo traveler and both nights I met locals from the area who invited me to sit with them and were quite nice. The music there one of the nights was fantastic!

We stopped at the Bridge Bar for lunch as part of a private tour through Ring of Kerry and Skellig Ring. It was a lively placed with great food and drinks. It's a nice spot right across from the boats.

Food was terrific. Service equals food. Nice atmosphere. We had sweet & sour chicken, pasta, tortellini, and ribs with pork chops. This really was a delightful meal. Highly recommend.

We were staying in Portmagee for two nights on a mission to get to Skellig. We ate here both nights and had breakfast here one morning! The food is excellent (breakfast and dinner), had delicious fresh fish the second night and their banoffee was yum! They had a great selection of whiskeys which we certainly made the most of, and... I've eaten here quite a few times now and it never disappoints. It has a good selection on the menu and the staff are all helpful and friendly. I recommend the Bridge Bar taster plate. Prices are a little high but it's all good quality food. I'll be going back for more for sure!

We had a very good dinner here. The staff was so friendly and the place was welcoming a lively. The crab claws were nothing like I expected. I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I ate them with the bread.

Description
The Bridge Bar at The Moorings, Portmagee is open all year round. Great food served all day with traditional music at weekends. Trips to Skellig Michael can be arranged and packages are available from April to September. Cois Cuain gift shop is open from March to January. The Moorings is located in a fishing village with a working harbour, post office, general store, coffee shop, bar, restaurant overlooking Valentia Island. There's nothing more endearing than knowing that some of the Hollywood's biggest movie stars like Mark Hamill and Director J.J Abrams have visited the sleepy village of Portmagee, and even sat in the Bridge Bar local pub where Mark Hamill poured a pint of Guinness behind the bar. The Moorings was home to the pre-production team of the Star Wars VII movie and you can visit the room where all the magic took place and listen to the stories told by the staff.
