This is a jewel of a place. My daughter - with all her food intolerances - found it online and said they did scones she could eat, could we try it. We did. They did scones she could eat (she's dairy, gluten and yeast intolerant)....In fact they did a whole cream tea she could eat, and it was stunning. I wish there were many. many more places like this that produce really good food for people with allergies and intolerances. All too often food forintorances is bland at best, often far worse. Not here though. the "special food" is good enough for everyone to eat - and you wouldn't know it was anything unusual at all. Fabulous and delicious. Oh, the staff were first class too! Thank you so much - you made our daughter's holiday! We'll be visiting again when we're next in the area.More

Loved it here, such a cute place which such friendly staff and so much choice for me being coeliac! Best gluten free cream tea I’ve had. If I lived closer I’d be going back all the time. I visited with my brother, his girlfriend and...my fiancé. Between us we needed one gluten free and one diary free and it was no problem for them! We all agreed it was the best meal we had on our Cornwall holiday and we were just sad we were only able to go that once!More

We had a lovely lunch here today I had the roasted pepper soup and foccacia which was absolutely gorgeous and welcome on a wet day. My husband had a toasted ham, cheese and red onion sandwich which he said was delicious. We also had a...slice of cake each both of which were excellent. We will hopefully make it back again before we leave.More

We called in at this lovely tea room for a cream tea and were not disappointed! The scones were freshly baked (in fact still warm!) with generous amounts of clotted cream and jam. Lovely coffee too and the outside garden area was a really nice...setting. Would definitely recommend!More

Took a chance at this cafe and we were very pleasantly surprised. Excellent lunch, huge salad portion all freshly prepared and good quality. Also a brie and cranberry toasted sandwich with lovely soft and light brown bread. Lovely decor, very pleasant and helpful staff. There...are other options available on the menu and good for tea & coffee, scones etc. Will certainly be backMore

We came across the Twisted Currant last weekend whilst looking for a suitable cafe to have a spot of breakfast. Their breakfast bap is the best I've eaten in many a year and great value for money. Whilst the cafe doesn't offer a harbour view...the excellent service and friendly staff more than make up for it. Would highly recommend.More

Stopped here for a very enjoyable cream tea late afternoon. Was very busy but the service was excellent. Very friendly team and the tea and scones were wonderful. Couldn’t resist a piece of the Rose and Pistachio cake to take away which was also delicious....Lovely family run business with cakes cooked by the owners. Definitely recommendedMore

Very slow service and not very friendly…need people skills. What didn’t help was having coffee spilt over my shorts & shirt with absolutely NO apology. When paying the bill we were also feeling well overcharged, one pound for one extra shot of coffee which I...find disgraceful. On paying the bill I brought up the coffee spillage and still no apology but a strange comment…More

We found this little cafe by accident. The atmosphere was charming and the staff were lovely. Although we aren’t Vegan or have any allergy issues, the menu is very focused on accommodating for such things, which is great. We had Tea and freshly baked scones...with clotted cream and Jam. They were delicious. Other lunches being served looked very appetising. We were so impressed that we returned for a second visit later in the week and the waitress said it was nice to see us again, which was a lovely gesture. We’ll definitely return on our next visit to Cornwall.More

Visited here to try the vegan cream tea and it was lovely. Good price, lovely tearoom environment and very friendly staff. Nice selection of vegan cakes and some specials so well worth a visit if you are vegan looking for some sweet treats. We wanted...to visit again and try the vegan Afternoon Tea but ran out of time but we will certainly visit again on our next holiday to Cornwall. Tip: You need to ring the day before if you want the vegan Afternoon Tea.More
