Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I eat at the Alice Cross Centre regularly. We have the old chef from the Coombe Cellars pub. The food is healthy, always tasty, beautifully presented and very reasonable. 1 course for £6 and 2 courses for £8, £10 for a roast on a Sun....We deliver to old or sick people in the community and I am part of the meal delivery team. Our chef, Dave has just won an award for being 'delicious' from the U3A local foodies! The Alice Cross Centre is a well being hub for the over 50s but younger people are beginning to use us too. It is extremely inclusive so people with additional needs are welcome, along with anyone who is just a bit lonely and wants some company. We are always looking for new volunteers and it doesn't have to be a big commitment. We take work experience young people also. We currently do lunches on a Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat breakfast and alternate Sundays. If you try it, you will be hooked!!More

Best value breakfast in town by far! It's such a friendly place, great staff and atmosphere. The lunches are also tremendous. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal at the Alice Cross and the prices are so good!! I would also highly recommend...the evening pop up restaurants. You will not believe your eyes! The quality of the food is on par with a 5 star restaurant, and the prices really are incredible. Finally, the Alice Cross catered for a private party I had and the food was just about the best thing our guests had ever had the pleasure of tasting. It was so impressive. If I could give them 10 out of 5 I would!!More

I am a frequent customer of the community cafe, i generally go on a Saturday morning with my wife and children and enjoy a Full English Breakfast, whilst my wife has egg on toast and my children have cereal and toast with preserves. The food...is exceptional value for money and ‘Geoff’ the Chef is amazing!More

I came here with my Dad and we had a great roast dinner which was hearty and delicious and an absolute bargain. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and super friendly service. And the sticky toffee dessert was out of this world!
