went here on christmas eve lovely entertainment and service. atmosphere was amazing. food was amazing and i have to say, those lamb chops are SO delicious! definitely coming back.

This eatery which is upstairs in houseproud is unreal. The food is gr888888. Hospitality amazing and the place itself is cosy , comfortable and really nice to sit in. Wish they'd do more cakes and buns.

I went to this restaurant with my family after hearing about its amazing food. I was welcomed by amazing decorations and friendly staff. The atmosphere was electric. However the food arrived quite late but it was busy so I can understand. But even if it...wasn’t busy, the food made up for it, the dum ghost and lamb chops were immaculate and the desserts were top notch. Myself and hubby ate in here last Wednesday evening. Not been here for a few years! Staff were very very charming. Food was delicious! My special biryani even at £16 I thought was expensive it was absolutely delicious! Hubby’s garlic chicken was lovely! Sides rices...and poppadom were yummy! Only 3 tables were taken but the atmosphere was nice! Highly recommend 😁More

This wonderful restaurant was a grim favourite when we both lived in the area 10 years ago and with family still living in cheshunt We had to come back after a long 10 years without the tasty food and warm welcome And wow what can...I say It’s vertically kept it’s charms With tasty authentic beautifully cooked food and the warmest of welcomes and impeccable service We ate the special biriyani and the lamb momo And the others are vindaloo and korma All amazing tasty fresh and just so worth the drive down from other side of stansted And they made my sisters birthday even more special Thank you for the a wonderful evening And we will be sure not to leave so long for another visitMore

The service at this restaurant was impeccable. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. I highly recommend De Ja Vu to anyone who visits the Cheshunt area.

Sunday buffet was awesome. Visited June 2022 and price was £11 per adult plus drinks. Poppadums cooked fresh to order and served with a variety of chutneys. Delish! Starters are cooked to order- huge onion bhaji, 2 tandoori wings, samosa n salad each - All...Delish ( onion bhaji was perfect- not dry or floury) then the mains were self service buffet except the naan breads which were cooked fresh to order ( peshwari, garlic, plain or keema). There was chick tikka masala (obs) , a hot chick curry, lamb dupiaza, veg curry, Bombay potatoes, rice and salad. The curries had plentiful of large chunks of meat . The staff were very attentive and friendly. We will def be going backMore

We had been on the hunt for a good Indian for a while and we have finally found it, the food was so tasty and the staff very professional, attentive and friendly. So hard to find a place where not every curry dish tastes the...exact same, this place was authentic!!More

5* to the Chef because food is absolutely yummy and when it finally came it was hot and amazing! Now to the 2* part, the customer service. When we arrived they couldn't find our details ( I booked 2 months in advance and they rang...to me to confirm) and took few minutes to figure it out. They sat us down to a lovely space, no complain there. Now the reason why only 2* stars - food took ages to arrive ( fair enough it was a crazily busy time when we arrived), then we had parts of our order missing, couldn't get anyones attention, drinks took ages too even through its beers in bottles? At one point we got 2 beers even though there was clearly 4 of us and we asked for 4. Nope, never got the remaining two. When we tried to ask for a bill it took ages so when after 25 minutes we finally got hold of a waiter we were excited that we can finally pay. Nope. it took another 30 minutes and two reminders to get the bill. What we didn't realise is that they are not using a till but writing everything down on paper. Ooops. If this was explained to us we would be much happier. When the bill arrived we were charged for food we never got, also the beers that never arrived ( we had 9 but the bill had 11 on there ). So back to the drawing room to get the bill adjusted - also everything was scribbled on the bill so no idea what else we were actually being charged for- at the end we spent 1 hour and 30 minutes eating and drinking and the other hour and some waiting for the bill and food. Not important but when i booked the table there was an offer for a free house wine - we never got that either. Lovely place, amazing food( LIKE HONESTLY YUMMY!) but let down by the service. I will go back if someone can confirm the service improved...its a shame as I can see all the 5* reviews so I know its good and I hate moaning but just our luck it was not the best night.More

Went here for my sons 18th, at his request. Didn't say anything prior but once they found out it was his 18th. They brought out banners & balloons. They were brilliant. So, had been here a few times & always found the staff very welcoming...& attentive. The food, always top quality, plus not overpriced. No difference this time. Can't fault this place, Deja Vu you've done it again. Thanks again & see you soon.More

This has been open now for 20 and we have been 100’s of times and is just simply the best , food atmosphere and service from Abdul and team they always look after me and the family

I ordered takeaway again and it was amazing tasted nice and piping hot, perfect for a tasty home dinner.
