Friars Head had been recommended to us and we decided to book for Sunday Lunch. Very impressed with the place when we arrived, really smart! We both chose a roast beef dinner but unfortunately it was very basic and rather tasteless considering the price.More

This is a great place, lovely setting. Decor is very nice, it was busy when we went however that didn’t spoil the visit. Had a jug of sangria which was lovely. A great place to visit if in the area.

Fabulous setting even though parts of the building are faux. Menu has good choice. We had three courses plus wine for around £120 for two so not the cheapest but worth it. Fillet steak and pork were excellent. Service good if a tad rushed

2 fussy children and 2 adults used to very good pubs/restaurants. Fabulous service. AMAZING food like none we had tastes in 13 years being together. Can't wait to come back here. Mains fab, desserts amazing. Worth every penny!

Came here for another group booking. We were seated in the new conservatory which is lovely and well decorated. As we had pre-ordered it was relatively simple getting our food served. The food was pleasant enough - perhaps a little below par to what we...More
