Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Friendly village country pub with a genuine friendly welcome and excellent food and beer. One of our little group thought that the food was a little too salty but that was just one person’s view out of the three of us. Easy parking with lovely...walks all around - perfect.More

Lovely pub with a nice friendly atmosphere. We had the homemade steak pie with chunky chips, carrots, parsnips, cabbage and gravy. The food was very delicious, very big portions. I would definitely recommend eating here.

I visited my sister and partner this weekend to see her new pad. We visited her new local. I found the three horse shoes to be warm in greeting and atmosphere! (as well as a nice warm wood burner) Black sheep was on tap, which...is what I always look forward to when I go to Wensleydale. Perfect pint and I had a perfect double burger to take away. The beef burger, blue cheese and bacon was delicious. Looking forward to visiting again soon 😊More

A very nice experience for our first visit. Bar area full so we sat in one of the two adjacent dining rooms that lack a little atmosphere imo. Very friendly efficient service. Good selection of drinks. Food very tasty and wholesome. Good VFM. Super walking...area so we’ll be sure to return.More

My wife and I spent a week in Wensley on holiday with our dog Oscar in September. Our holiday cottage was ideally located next door to the pub and less than 2 minutes walk. We visited for drinks most afternoons/evenings and ate there 3 times....The 4 different real ales were well kept and delicious. The food is typical pub grub and was good quality, nicely cooked and large portions. We especially enjoyed the Sunday lunch. The staff and locals where all very helpful and friendly and they love dogs! We look forward to returning.More
