Marton Arms Hotel Thornton in Craven nr Ingleton My girlfriend and I spent one night in Room 9 on the 5th November. Although the room (double with a single for a child) was very spacious and clean; and the bed very comfy. We felt there was a few things missing ie TV, Hair Dryer and complimentary biscuits on the hospitality... More

The food here is expensive for what you get. Ordered a cheese tartlet which had been overlooked at some point, but was barely warm when it reached the table. This was served with a minimal amount of chips and a boring salad. Steak and ale pie unavailable despite being on the menu. Fish and chips chosen as an alternative not... More

Ordered garlic mushrooms & black pudding starters. The sauce on the mushrooms was runny and the bread roll was old. The lettuce was brown on the edges. For main we ordered steak which was over cooked. Don't be fooled! The twice cooked chips are just frozen chips, the tomatoes baked on the vine is just one regular tomato, the 3... More

Stayed at a local campsite for the night and found this little gem just a 2 minute walk away. Cant praise it enough! It is very quaint and extremely cosy and inviting. All home cooked food at reasonable prices. Had a lovely meal and a few drinks. They had a blues singer on which was perfect for us, a thoroughly... More

The staff are exceptionally nice and helpful. The accommodation was a little tired but to be honest the beds were comfortable and rooms were very clean and I think for the price of £75.00 per night including a very large breakfast that was exceptional it was good value for money. The pub is 300 years old and therefore it does... More

The bar man was very welcoming and efficient and the drinks average priced. - good choice too. Nice beer garden at rear with great views over the fields. Took our dog with us too. Have visited a couple of times since May for drinks however decided to eat here. We were so disappointed this last week. Food: Average, over described... More

Ate here whilst staying at the local campsite. Booked a table which was reserved for us on arrival complete with high chair (which we had to wipe down). Pub not busy, nice setting and atmosphere. We had to ask for menus. Expensive kids meals (think £6.99 for chicken burger and chips). A few things really annoyed me, and it takes... More

The staff and owners are lovely and friendly. There is quite a good range of food and drinks - plenty of ales! Comfy beds and a varied breakfast menu. There are the sort of creaks you might expect in a 300 year old building but a lovely setting and lots to do nearby e.g. Waterfalls walk, White Scar Cave and... More

Ingleton doesn't lack restaurants but they all look much of a muchness. Instead we asked a local shopkeeper at random for his advice and the Marton Arms was his immediate and unequivocal reply. It was reasonably justified though the lack of two starters from a choice of seven and two out of five desserts 'off' tarnished our experience a little.... More

A small village pub serving what looked like nice food (we didn't eat there). £9 for 2 ciders, what more can I say!

Description
We are a traditional Country Inn located 3/4 of a mile from Ingleton and just 6 miles away from Kirkby Lonsdale. We have 10 guest bedrooms, two of which have four poster beds, one twin bedroom and one family bedroom, the rest are double bedrooms. We are ideally located for the those doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks or visiting the White Scar Caves and Ingleton Waterfalls. All of our food is prepared freshly on site to order and we use locally sourced suppliers. For those Ale drinkers we have 8 Cask Ale hand pulls, which during the busy season we try and have all 8 on. During the quieter months this is not always possible. For those winter months we have two roaring log burning stoves in the bar and for the Summer months we have two lovely beer gardens, one out the front of the hotel looking over St Oswalds Church and one out the back looking over open fields. For the best available rates please look at the hotel website.
