Having read reviews my wife and I were quite excited about eating here and this was enhanced when the starters arrived which and tasted very good. I had a goats cheese and garlic tart and my wife had the quail scotch egg though the egg was just a little over and so did not have a soft yolk. The mains... More

The food was beautiful in here tonight. Never tasted a chicken like it. You can tell it was fresh and not processed meat. The sauce was to die for and the cabbage was organic. 5 stars to the chef in here. Worth every penny

Food was out of this world. 5* food at a great price, we ate there twice and was satisfied on both occasions, the local beers served there are a must and the staff were very helpful. During busy times expect a short wait at the bar. Overall we loved it and will certainly re-visit.

Despite its proximity to Wookey Hole, this nice pub certainly doesn't feel like a tourist trap in any way. It serves really well made meals prepared on the premises at reasonable prices. The menu doesn't stray beyond the usual favourites you'd expect to find, but they're made using locally sourced ingredients (according to the chef) and there's genuine care shown... More

Saw this when we pulled up to the caves, looked it up on the net and wanted to eat here, we went for a meal on Monday evening (27/02) and was really, really impressed!!! The interior was surprisingly modern but not overly intrusive, there was a fire in the grate which was welcoming and the welcome as we entered was... More

Went here for a meal on New Years Day and was certainly not disappointed. The interior was quite airy and modern, yet surprisingly compliments the traditional style of the building. The staff were also friendly enough during our meal. I went for the Wook burger for main course, which was absolutely delicious and without doubt one of the best burgers... More

We came here to have a meal and drink after a visit to the caves on a really cold -3 degrees rising to 3 degrees day! The pub doesn't open until 12 and we arrived at 11.30am but the door was open and we were welcomed in to sit by the real fire and have a coffee. The coffee was... More

Went for Sunday lunch and think this was one of the best Sunday lunches I have ever had! Three huge slices of thick tender beef, cauliflower in a cheese sauce, Yorkshire pudding, roast spuds and a plate full of veg! Excellent service too! Highly recommended.

Thank Derek M
