Out for breakfast, great friendly service & wonderful home cooked food, not really a hash brown fan but these were fantastically crispy & the food was full of flavour, great coffee & lovely views over the valley. What’s not to love ❤️ 10/10

Upon arrival stood at the door , no one acknowledged us , staff talking behind counter, so sat down ordered some coffee and food , soup of the day very small portion . Coffee was good , I was going to order some cakes but...they looked bought in , not sure we'll be back but great viewsMore
Called in with my son for breakfast and really enjoyed it. The full English was excellent, the staff were friendly and the view was fantastic.
There are not many places that can accommodate 28 motorcyclists descending all at once for lunch on a Sunday, but that is exactly what the Olive Tree Bistro did yesterday. The staff were incredibly friendly, food to a high standard and served quickly. The cafe...was very clean and tidy. It is certainly somewhere we will be returning to. Many thanks. Great cafe, a bit of a wait for breakfast but was told beforehand, it was very busy so no problem, freshly cooked so worth the wait , . , Would Recommend booking on a weekend
Vastly overpriced quiche special The quiche was no more than a third of the sort of quiche you buy cheaply in any supermarket It was called mushroom I doubt there was even one whole mushroom in it It was billed as with skin on fries...I hate spicy food so checked It arrived with Cajun fries When I objected some ordinary fries came The salad with it was adequate It was certainly not a meal to put on the specials board and quite a rip off Won’t be eating there againMore
Fantastic freshly cooked full English served by a friendly waitress. Lovely views over the valley from our table. Value for money & will certainly return. Ignore the moaners this place is spot on.
This wasn’t my first visit and have always been satisfied with the food, a little over priced for a garden centre cafe but food good. This visit I ordered a Halloumi salad bowl. When it arrived i had to check the price £12.50, salad leaves,...4 chunks of cucumber, red onion, 2 cherry tomatoes, 4 strips of Halloumi No dressing, had to ask for dressing. I have been to restaurants and had a substantial main course for the same price or less. A salad bowl at that price point should be brimming with interest and filling. Left feeling hungry and ripped off.More

We visited for lunch on Saturday 7th January; I put a previous review on here from a visit in November, which can be read below. However, I wanted to add further information. We ordered a range of dishes; all were excellent, really tasty, and very...good portion sizes. My six year old son then decided that he wanted to try the jam sponge pudding for his pudding, which he didn't finish all of, so I finished it off - oh my goodness - this is the best jam sponge pudding I have ever tasted in my whole life (and I can assure you, I'm not a young man). I just cannot believe how good this pudding is. The next day, Sunday 8th January, we decided to go out for lunch again, and my son said that he wanted to go here again as he had enjoyed the food so much. On the second visit of the weekend, whilst my son had the same main course, my wife and I ordered something different for our mains. Yet again, excellent food and really good portion sizes. This time we ordered the jam sponge pudding and the chocolate pudding (again, the best chocolate pudding I have ever had); both were amazing, so much so that what we couldn't eat we took home to have in the evening. This place is amazing. The food is really lovely and the staff are excellent, and so attentive and accommodating. I've seen the negative reviews below, but we have been coming here for almost seven years now, and I do not recognise a single thing of what the negative reviews have said - I would recommend you just ignore all negative reviews and try it for yourself. In my humble view, this is currently the best place to eat out in Holmfirth; and the owner told us they are about to expand the menu, which is so exciting. Seriously, if you are reading this, you are thinking of visiting here - just go - you will not be disappointed and I suspect you will, thereafter, return many, many, many times, just as we have done. Ignore the negative reviews - in my experience over many years, this is not the experience you will have at this lovely venue - you will have a marvellous experience.More
We phoned totties this year and last year and got the same result!!! A wonderful hand picked Christmas tree delivered to our door. The lovely lady on the phone listened to what we wanted and picked our tree exactly as requested couldn't be more happy....Thank you for the second year running and of course next year we will speak again.More
Enjoyed a lovely Roast Beef dinner here today. Food was cooked perfectly. Good selection of vegetables; carrots, parsnip, green beans, sugar snap peas, kale, sprouts, roast & mashed potato and a Yorkshire pudding! For dessert - a slice of Lemon Meringue pie.. perfect. Excellent service...too. 👏More
