This place serves good authentic food. The menus is includes Scottish dishes and the quality of the food is great. Everything tastes good. The prices are reasonable and the service is very friendly.

This was our second visit on our weekend away. Great friendly service and very good food...the Cullen skink was amazing! We wouldn't go past this one.

Visited here for the 2nd time and enjoyed the atmosphere, had a beer by the fire listening to great music then ordered dinner.....what a let down. The chef/pyromaniac obviously enjoyed the art of flambe we could see the flames shooting from the pan. When the scallops arrived they were burnt black on the outside & raw in the middle, the... Nice ambience here and a very friendly welcome from all staff. Not a wide-ranging menu but we ate here twice and everything was top quality and very well cooked. It is a busu local pub but big enough to find a quietish spot. Roaring fire was appreciated - recommended.

We spent a few days in the Fort William area and thought we would have a day rail trip to Mallaig. After a run of good weather unfortunately the day we chose was wet & windy. In fact, a feel of the start of winter. When the train arrived at Mallaig, about midday, all we wanted to do was to... More

A long time ago, when I was a backpacking teenager, I was in France and happened upon a restaurant somewhere in Brittany that had fishing lines hanging out the kitchen window and over the adjacent cliff. The point was that their seafood was fresh. Twenty years later, I recall the meal I had at that place clearly. This place makes... More

My wife loves seafod, especially when fresh, this was. She had scallops followed by mussels. I had steak. She said it was 'the best' A pleasant enough ambiance but a little noisy for me with the clatter of pool balls in the background. Then again, when we left, it was full so as said for me. Very pleasant attentive staff.

We ate at this restaurant 3 times during our stay in Mallaig. Easy to walk to in the village and some car parking on the opposite side of the road, but we walked as stayed at Davaar holiday rental just up the hill. All the staff were great and the food was excellent. If you order chips be prepared for... More
