I opted for the carry out version as I was waiting to catch a Cal Mac ferry. It was fresh and very hot. The fish was lovely , it was so nice to get fresh fish made to order. Reasonably priced and really enjoyed. Would recommend.

My husband had a spicy pasta dish which was tasty. It was a smaller portion than we are used to from our local Italians in Cullercoats. I had fish and chips and mushy peas which again was just ok. Very friendly staff and efficient service

We ate here in 2014 and had an amazing sea food dinner. On our return to Mallaig in 2016 we booked a table in advance knowing the Jacobite steam train was unloading it's passengers at lunch. We entered the place on time and were given our table. But there is only one item of seafood on the lunch menu from... More

My partner and I have both just eaten fish, chips and peas here and couldn't believe that in such a tiny place, we'd found the tastiest, most tender fish and chips either of us have had! Both of us enjoy good food, so to say we appreciated it here is an understatement! The fish was fresh, light and very well... More

I and my Dad were only in Mallaig for one night and were so pleased to have found The Cabin. The waitress was lovely and the smoked haddock 'lasagne' was an absolutely superb dish. Fresh flavours, and a real treat, so unexpected. You must go there.

We tried most all of the places to eat dinner in Mallaig and in my opinion, this was the best. I have to say, despite the accolades in the press, etc., this place was better than its more decorated, posher competition across the road, which we also visited. There is a concise menu, focusing on seafood, unsurprisingly, and with langoustine,... More

We came on the Jacobite Train. The food was superb! We had pasta and risotto. Just loved it. The waitress was also very nice. That´s a place I would definetly go back.

Had a really good meal here, very fresh and delicious. Lovely friendly staff and very efficient service, even though they were pretty busy. Only managed 2 courses as portions were goodly size, but the food was lovely. Would certainly go back.

Ideal unprepossessing restaurant, nice friendly welcome, good food and reasonable prices. We had the mussels and the langoustines, both highly recommended.

Grabbed a light lunch here before boarding ferry to Skye. We all had fairly traditional fare but none of it was particularly good. Wouldn't recommend this place unless desperate. We had tried to get a table in The Cornerstone but they were full.
