Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We dropped in for a cup of coffee after a long walk. The coffee was very nice and although we didn’t have any cake they looked lovely. It was full inside so we sat outside. Mark was very friendly and chatty whilst he was making...our coffee. 2 walkers outside were saying that he had filled their water bottles up which was very kind. We stopped here on our way back from Elgol and were overwhelmed with the fantastic selection of homemade cakes, all of which looks spectacular! We also purchased two cups of tea and were pleasantly surprised by the wide tea varieties available. Both staff members were...so courteous and polite and really chatty. Although dogs are not allowed inside there is adequate benches outside to sit and enjoy your tea and cake with the most breathtaking views of the mountains and they even provided fresh drinking water for your canine companions. We will definitely be back! Thank you again!More

Great place and lovely welcoming people. Called in on the way back from Elgol, Three of us had a mixture of soup, tea, coffee, cake, flap jack and cheese scone. Mine were the tea, cheese scone with an apple and cinnamon flap jack, everything was...lovely but the cheese scone has to have special mention absolutely delicious wish I had brought some back with me for my trip home tomorrow. The massive sponge cakes looked very tempting and that's from someone who isn't into sponge cakes I prefer savoury. Lovely place to grab something to eat, plenty of benches outside with stunning views across Loch Slapin to Bla' Beinn if the few inside tables are already taken up. Plenty of what I would call decent gifts in the tea room not the usual tacky touristy stuff you find in some places. Will make it a point of call in again next time I'm up here.More
