Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great food and fun. Maurizio was a wonderful host. We had a selection of local antipasti as well as fried anchovies and calamari, We chose our own main courses with fresh dorado with orange sauce and pasta “Eolino” spaghetti with olives, capers, tomatoes among the...favorites. The walls were adorned with sketches from clients , many of them pictures of Mauritzio himself. This made for a warm, and local feel. Highly recommend!More

Poor experience with service, food and overall visit. Staff seem to spend more time arguing with eachother than focus on customers. Food was very poor quality but charge 25 euros for squid with some bread crumbs in. 1/5 of us had to wait 10 mins...for main while 4/5 had theirs. Real Shame as reviews said differently.More

This restaurant is a must. The cuisine is a mix of Aeolian and Indian flavours and the best seafood you can eat. The service is excellent starting from when Maurizio sits down with you and explains the dishes on the menu. My friend is dairy...intolerant and this was not an issue and a beautiful dish was brought to her. Do yourself a favour and visit this wonderful oasis.More

Amazing food and friendly staff! We were so happy that we choose to eat here while spending the day in Vulcano. Their linguine "frutti mare" was cooked to perfection with amazing flavours and sea food! Recommend visiting this place.

had the best food experience in the Aeolian Islands at Maurizio’s. The food was amazing from appetizers to pasta to second entrees. Maurizio makes his version of the typical Sicilian food. I highly recommend the fish dishes but also the Aeolian pasta was amazing. His...flavored potato bread is just amazing. For desert have the cannolo or the Malvasia with sesame biscuits (and yes, you dip the biscuits in the wine, there is no other way to eat them!).More

Superlative quality food, created by Maurizio. Easily beats the cuisine in our 5 star hotel at around half the cost. Plenty of personal touches made this meal especially memorable such as freshly baked bread with tumeric as we sat down to eat and hand made...biscuits with dessert wine after we had finished our meal. Worth Island Hopping to eat here if you are not staying on Vulcano!More

We visited on the recommendations we read here on TripAdvisor and it exceeded our expectations. It’s one of the most unique, awesome and fun dining experiences we’ve had. There is a menu, but it’s a guide, based on what’s fresh that day. Maurizio sits with...each table to understand what you like and what you feel like that meal. He then guides to the choices that will fit. It was so lovely and warm and welcoming. The food was honest, tasty, fresh and delicious. We loved it so much that we booked on the spot to return in 2 nights time. We had stuffed squid, crumbed fish, garlic parsley and tomato fish and cannoli to finish. The home made bread was amazing, as was the apperitivo and the lovely local wine and biscuit. Highly recommend, if you’re on Vulcano please visit this wonderful and delightful business and restaurant. It’s truly wonderful, tasty food value for money and even better - a fabulous experience with a kind, generous and warm host.More

Great welcome from Maurizio and Simona in this little traditional restaurant 200m from the harbor. Very good local food, the menu changes according to the daily supplies. Food is cooked on demand, and is adapted in case of dietary requirements. We strongly recommend !

Excellent service by Mr Maurizio, he really makes you feel at home explaining dishes in great detail. I was amazed to experience proper vegan food for the first time on my trip and this is because Mr Maurizio is vegan too! We were given several...free appetisers and also a free taste of Malvasia wine with vegan homemade biscotti at the end of the meal. For sure to visit again and highly recommend for my family and friends to visit too! Thank you Mr Maurizio 🙏🏻More
