We had some difficulty finding the front entrance to this restaurant which is tucked away in a corner of a pedestrian only street (you need to park your car some little distance away). We walked into the ground floor which had some tables and also...a small cantina and then up the staircase to the main dining area where we were met by our waitress. Little did we realise at that point in time that if we had continued to walk up the steep street we would have come to some of the restaurant's outside tables that were located on the street and which were adjacent to the kitchen. We were lucky to be shown to one of the few tables on the small front balcony - no panoramic view but you could watch what was going on in the street below (not much) and there was a cool brezze. Menu offered a good range of choices and we had as entrees Strozzapreti margherita (pasta with eggplant, yellow tomatoes, pecorino and basil) and a uovo all' occhio di bue (fried egg with fresh truffles). As mains we both had the tagliata with cherry tomatoes, parmesan cheese and rocket. The tagliata was served on a "hot" grill type plate and was one of the best tagliatas that we had during our two month stay in Italy. As sides we had a mixed salad. All of the dishes were excellent. We were too full o have any dessert, Wine menu had a good selection of local and regional wines. We had a bottle of 2016 Il Conventino Nobile di Montelpuciano (cost EUR36-00) which was excellent. All up cost with two bottles of frizzante and cover charge was EUR99-00 which we thought was very reasonable. Service was friendly, attentive and efficient. Recommended.More

Antonio and his team went above and beyond to provide my wife and I an unforgettable meal on our wedding day. They opened up especially for us in between lunch and dinner and created us a custom menu exactly to our tastes. The food was...amazing - all of it was the highest quality available; amazing fresh food prepared perfectly. Antonio we will never forget our experience and we really appreciate all you and your staff did for us. Grazie mille!More

I was with a friend of mine and we both enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere, the lovely balcony and the local food! Very tasty dishes from pasta to dessert . We’ll have a meal then again if we are in that area, for sure Book in...advance if you like a small table for two on the balcony, but inside it’s really nice, too and then go for a walk nearby, absolutely. We enjoyed an excellent family meal at this authentic Tuscan restaurant. A wonderful touch was being able to choose your wine from the wine cellar! Service was excellent and the food delicious. I would highly recommend when visiting Anghiari.

We went to this restaurant during the snow storm which occurred the last day of our weekend in Anghiari. And they made us feel as if we were a part of the family in the upstairs room which had a nice cozy and warm atmosphere...with artworks done by the owner himself. His daughter served us most attentively and the menu gave an ample selection of local cuisine, authentic flavors snd dishes such as the tripe, and home made bread. The portions were ample. Both the red and white house wines were more than acceptable and at the end of the meal we ate delicious cantucci biscotti with their Amaro del Feudo del Vicariò, not to be missed, as it is produced locally from an old family recipe. You can ask to buy a bottle to take home! We vote our experience as excellent value for money and highly recommend you try it.More

We decided to stop by for lunch and turned out it's a right decision, everything was perfect, from the pasta to wine, the service, the pastry, etc. It was an amazing experience and further more the chat with Rebecca, it's quite impressive!!

We happened upon Il Fuedo del Vicario while passing by Anghiari and decided to stop and explore the town. We stuck our heads in to see if they had a table and we were asked to return a short while later. Upon our return we...were seated inside having been told we couldn't sit out as rain was imminent (it would have been fine). The dining area had a warm, historic ambience and a cosy vibe. Despite it being the height of summer, it was a grey day so it felt just right. We ordered a couple of pastas and then a main to share as we didn't want a heavy lunch. The pasta was superb. I had the pasta a la Rebecca which was a delicious balance of sun dried tomatoes, the freshest mozzarella and balsamic, while my husband's truffle pasta was sublime. The main of pork was not as exciting and couldn't match the pastas. Service was friendly if a little stretched. Overall a great little find!More

Yes, it is expensive, but it's the type of expensive that is worth every euro! The plates are made specifically for this restaurant. I bring this up, because it just shows the pride in which everything done here. The decor is a warm, rustic, cozy,...beauty and the artistic presentation of the food was top-notch! The pork with goodies wrapped inside... this takes time and talent. It's a dish most people do not make at home. The taste of everything was absolutely unforgettable. The pasta dishes were all outstanding, porcini ravioli was just delightful. Of course, the Fiorentina steak was mouth watering. The service was fantastic, the setting is so quaint, your paying for the one of the highest quality dining experiences one can have. 171 € for six people, including house wine.More

We had dinner at Il Feudo del Vicario and it was quite disappointing. We have been here on two previous occasions and this was well below the standard of the other visits. All three courses had issues - the antipasto was OK but lacked variation....The primi was quite poor and our pasta was bland. The secondi was not good at all - the tagliata was chewy and lacking in seasoning. Staff seem quite nice. There is a cover charge added to the bill, without any prior discussion which is unfortunate. Overall, not a great experience and we're unlikely to go back.More

Maybe it was because of the highly stressed servers on a busy Friday night, maybe it was because we waited at least 20 minutes to receive a menu after being seated, maybe it was when we saw someone from the kitchen staff arrive with a...large shopping bag from Penny Market (a low-cost, low-quality supermarket here in Italy), maybe it was because we were told the porcini mushrooms on the menu were frozen (even though they are readily available fresh everywhere in Italy as this is high season). Maybe it was because the bruschetta was a PASTE of tomatoes on stale bread. Maybe it was a combination of the whole experience. Only one word comes to mind: ABYSMAL. If I were working in this restaurant I would be so embarrassed! I've re-submitted this review to include the attached photo of the "RECEIPT" for our dinner at Il Feudo del Vicario last night (Friday, July 12, reservation at 8 pm). We were seated on the small balcony (two adults with a small dog, surely the wait staff will remember us). I urge the owner (who responded in the most rude and vicious way possible to my legitimate review, claiming I had written it fraudulently) to check our reservation from last night to confirm that we indeed had dinner at her restaurant. Yes, we also reserved for tonight (Saturday, July 13), but have since cancelled due to our miserable experience the night before.More

Amazing food , very tasty. The service is nice , fast. Potatoes and pasta were perfect, so was the meat. The three desserts kit - overpriced, you get very little for 9 euros, so I suggest you to choose one dessert. The mascarpone cream was...the most delicious. The chocolate one is too dry.More

Good food, friendly staff. The food was good but the location magical. I liked the fact that there is no wine list...one descends to the wine cellar and picks whatever wine you wish.

We visited for a meal for 2 during a recent trip to Anghiari and were not disappointed. On arrival we were impressed with the charm and character of the restaurant and this was matched with a warm welcome. Luckily there was a table free on...the little terrace which is very quaint and a perfect setting a romantic meal. Despite the restaurant having 4 or 5 other tables in (2 were groups of 4 or more) the service was quick and efficient. We skipped appetisers and both had a pasta dish followed by a main. Both pasta dishes were fantastic:- fresh and very tasty. The real star of the show though was the beef steak - I can’t think of enough positive words to describe it. We were given plenty of fresh bread to accompany both courses which is always nice. We finished with an espresso and the selection of three desserts and both of this also didn’t disappoint. All in all we had a great meal for fantastic value and in fact we loved it so much we returned 3 nights later. I even repeated my beef steak order for main...it really is that good. We are returning to Tuscany next September and will definitely be returning to Il Fuedo del Vicario!More
