This place is a hidden gem! The owner feels more like a friend as we visit every year. The sandwiches are to die for the flavour combinations are amazing!! The bar is full of collections which is great for the eye but also the bar plays stunning jazz which is great for the ears too! Love this place with all... More

This place is soooooo cool. Its hidden away but definitely worth seeking out. So, whats it all about? Cristanal is a small bar that serves nothing but tiny sandwiches. They are usually toasted like a panini. The filling are so full of flavour. Certainly not your run of the mill beef, chicken and cheese! Nip in on a Saturday lunch... More

Our first visit to the town and we walked the length and breadth and saw this very traditional bar on the corner. We do love our small snacks and tapas so we went in and ordered small rolls and a bottle of wine which we had outside on the pavement area, the welcome, service, food and wine were excellent and... A small and atmospheric bar with snacks on offer but not really a restaurant, we made the mistake of coming here for dinner but they only do sandwiches! Lovely service however and the Mahon Sausage was very tasty. For a 'jazz cafe' the piano renditions of various pop songs wasn't good enough- but perhaps they have live music on other... More

Found this by accident and then later found it was in our guide book! Visited a. Couple of times and found the wine was of great quality and although the the food was limited choice, it was very tasty. We will return on our next visit to Mahon.

After reading TA, we called here for a drink. Its a small bar, with some tables outside. The food is mostly small bread rolls but they looked so delicious that we had a couple with our drinks. They were lovely! What was so nice was that the bar was filled with mostly local people and the staff didn't speak English,... More

We've been here a many times over the years and it is always the same, which I mean as a compliment. A great place for lunch; their speciality is little filled rolls, which are great for sharing. Always playing cool jazz influences. The only downside is the limited outside seating, but the decoration inside is so interesting that it's worth... More

Lovely bar, with tables inside and 4 tables outside, up a little side street. They serve homemade sandwiches for €2 each with fantastic fillings, the locals seem to eat here more than tourists, we were in Mahon twice and visited both times, its a little gem! Well worth a visit.

Great little locals bar. Wine list is good and the sandwiches are just what you need when exploring Mahon. The clientele is mainly local, for good reason. Atmosphere is great. Give this place a try is you want to get a little off the main tourist route.
