Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We all had a good night, and while the spread you get is really good, the ambience of the place is relatively poor, there was no music, and young kids wandering around which I didn't expect in a wine bar. I'd still go again, but...think there is a lot they could do to improve this venue.More

We had 4 bottles of wine, beers, vodkas nothing was...too much trouble, the owners were very attentive. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much, you made our night xMore

We’ve been coming to Joanna’s for a while now and always have a lovely, relaxing time. We asked them to make our cheese wedding cake for us and as usual we were really impressed with the service we received. The cake went down so well...with our guests, it looked great and was really reasonably priced too! Thank you again for everything!More

As a lover of cheese I wasn't sure what to expect. It's kind of a lazy option to have a cheese and wine at home with friends or family so I had a bit of a negative view from the start that going out for...C& W was not going be too great. In that respect, I wasn't disappointed. At least one of the cheeses tasted like soap and was inedible. They could have made it more interesting by having scorecards for the different cheeses, at least they get some feedback on ones to avoid. Not a cheap night considering what is on offer and a lack of atmosphere didn't help. Not only that but since visiting 2 months ago, I really haven't eaten much cheese. It's just not for me but may appeal to younger people.More

Generous door wedges of fine cheese, 20+ types! £25 serving board includes 6 of your choice, crackers, crusty bread, olives, cured meats, chutneys, grapes, the list goes on! all included in price! (We added pate for a small supplement, totally recommend! Beautiful) Vast selection of...wines to compliment. Also serve beers, gins and other refreshments. That aside - attentive hosts Adrian and Heidi have cheerful, approachable dispositions and great to chat to. Hidden gem, will be attending regularly and can’t recommend enough! P.S if you don’t manage it all - they wrap it up and put it in a little paper bag to take home, so don’t be shy to indulge ❤️🧀🍷 Thank you for a lovely evening Dave & Becca xxxMore

The menu was explained perfectly & our wine arrived which was Beautiful. Next came bread, crackers, olives, onions, gherkins, oils, and a...full cheese board with yummy chutney. Hired for private function for my mum's 50th last Saturday and what a fabulous choice this was! absolutely brilliant venue, the cheeseboard buffet was outstanding, excellent wine and variety of other drinks available on the bar, access to play own music through Bluetooth system, spacious...inside and outside seating area available. The owners could not have been more accomodating and helpful from my first enquiry regards price and packages available to the day after the event having allowed us to keep our balloons etc overnight.Very timely responses to messages sent, flexible in times available to view the venue, made themselves available for early arrival to decorate and for collection of our things the next day. they were so friendly with all of our guests and worked extremely hard all night ensuring our food, drink and music needs were met! Honestly couldn't give this place a better review! If you need a unique venue to hire for a special birthday or any other event this is the place to go! Don't forget you can also visit Joanna's on a general evening to access their amazing wine and cheese board menu doesn't have to be hired for a function 😃 We can't wait to head back on a general for a bottle of wine and cheeseboard! 🍷🍾🥂🧀🧀More

Quiet on the night we were in but we still really enjoyed the Huge cheese platter- it was absolutely amazing. Great little venue to while away a good evening with friends. Our only suggestion for us non wine experts, would be for some guidance on...the menu of which wine to choose to accompany the cheeses.More

My husband and I visited here on Friday night for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The cheeseboards are fantastic value and we loved the idea of being able to choose 6 from a huge list of different cheeses. The wine we chose...was perfect for us. We had time to chat to the lovely owners who made us feel very welcome. I would recommend to anyone for a different experience if you like cheese and wine and if we are back in Blackpool we definately will return.More

It was more of an experience than a meal. I was there last night but grazed more than dined. I was alone so they offered me a me a single person deal which was over generous. The food was beyond what could be expected ANYWHERE....The cheese selection blew my mind, served with delicious cured meats, olives, pickles, bread, crackers and lovely oil and balsamic. It would shame most Spanish tapas for its quality (and I’ve eaten lots of tapas), and the wine was not only amazing but for the right money too. The jewel in Blackpool’s (if a bit rusty) crown. And I mean that in a good way!More
