We’ve been to Tico y Rico both nights we have spent in Monteverde, cheap food - amazing traditional cuisine and huge portions, the staff are also super friendly.

We all took pastas there, they were okay, but a bit too expensive for what we got. Service was a bit slow. We found out that pretty much everything is expensive in Monteverde since it's isolated.

We have no idea what was happening with our waiter that day but the service was absolutely terrible, he was very rude and condescending we had to leave, we ended up eating elsewhere and that experience was excellent.
