Delightful dinner with wine from the region. The "perfect eggs" were indeed perfect. We ordered another round. And the duck and fish were marvelous. Very capable service and just enough attention to carry off a warm, vivacious dinner party. Made for a wonderful family evening.

Albeit the food was quite good, perhaps even great, we ended up spending over an hour waiting for the food (entrée et plat). Furthermore, my main order (Angus) was misplaced for an entrecôte. If you have a couple of hours and are in the immediate vicinity, Le Safran offers a good experience.

This was one of our most enjoyable meals of our trip. We were traveling with our two children (8 and 5) - both picky eaters and I didn't expect to find many nice restaurants that would work for us as a family. Le Safran was a small and nicely decorated restaurant that was very welcoming on the rainy night that... More

I visited with a friend last week the beautiful little village, quite late for the lunch, but no problem at all. The weather was beautiful and we sat outside under the big platan trees, and got an excellent lunch of salmon and gaspacho done of melon for my friend wih rice and of course colored with the safran, for my... Le Saffran is a delightful restaurant in the small village of Trets. Over the course of a week we actually ate here twice and both times were treated to well prepared and presented dishes. Our first visit was late on the night of the day we arrived from the U.S. and wanted something light and the menu had salads which... More

Recommended the restaurant from our hotel (hotel Vallee de Arc ) and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the waitress really helped due to our small French vocabulary. Would recommend the marinated kebab and crime brûlée.

I understand: there's a "crise" on, and restaurateurs have to pack in as many punters as they can while minimising their outgoings. But having to wait almost 80 minutes for an entrée...? The young serveuse was amiable in a harassed sort of way, apologetic that their house speciality (the burger our 13-year-old craved) was unavailable that night, but we didn't... More
