Great views of the crocodile (coastal rock formation), the bay, the sunrise (for breakfast), recent refurbishment, great food, try the huge plate of ribs with sauce and the team of staff led by Georgios are first rate. This is a long-established, quality establishment which puts the customer first. I regularly ate here in May 2016 but between 2002 and 2009... More

Great food and service at this taverna. We had onion rings and the spinach with garlic ,butter and cream which was extremely tasty. We also had the roast chicken leg and the prawn saganaki. The house white was good quality. All in all this was perhaps the best food and service of our stay.

We always visit at least once when in Paleochora. This year was even better, as Georgio has spent money on new glass windbreaks and general improvements. But the food remains the same - excellent. More European than Greek, including the best rib eye steaks in Crete. Also an excellent wine list if you've tired of standard taverna fare. Just a... More

We had dinner here on a number of occasions. It's a wonderful location directly across from the ferry jetty with magnificent views across the bay to the 'crocodile' (rock formation). Their meat dishes are seriously good. We had the shared platter for two on a couple of occasions which consists of a whole rack of ribs (long and short), a... More

My husband ate there in 2003 on our last swing through Paleochora and had always retained fond memories of the place and the owner. This time we went back with our two kids. Some changes: The menu now specializes in ribs, which is hardly typical of Cretan restaurants (in my experience) so fair for a change of pace. The portions... More
