Mixed feelings. Been waiting to dine here for ages, have mostly come off season, as it’s not open all year around and the setting is truly amazing- partly due to the British heritage of the owners I guess. The feeling is completely outside that of a greek taverna, resembling a northern european feeling- from the name of the place to the way it was skilfully set up. The menu is limited, but usually this is a good thing and everything we had bad the starters was really tasty. HOWEVER. We had booked 3 days in advance a table for three and indeed we were three: my wife, my 7 year old daughter and myself. When we arrived we were greeted with a strange “it’s only you two and the baby?”. Didn’t understand how a 7 year old may be called a baby, but I did understand in the process. Some places had the “reserved” sign and these were the front ones (with the most privileged view) and they included a 3-seat one. We were placed however in a rear table without the “reserved” sign. I asked whether we could have the one on the front and got a direct “no sorry, this was picked up specifically by someone else”. Well it is common knowledge in Greece that families with children are not given priority in some places, as owners/staff expects a smaller order. And indeed, that “someone else” never showed up and the other table stayed unoccupied all night, as no other party of 3 showed up. We were never even offered to be moved to the better table during our stay, although it was very obvious that no one was coming. Second and really big mistake: the house wine. We ordered the rose and it was really awful, tasting off and heavy to both my wife and me. We pointed that out and we were offered to try a second one. It was cooler, watered down, but still off. At the same time, a lady sitting at a nearby table complained of her white wine being “too heavy”. The waitress offered to bring ice (!!!) to make it lighter. Of course the above are not something you would expect in a place that introduces itself, and is in a sense, a magic world in the centre of a beautiful greek village, with a well balanced and tasty cuisine. I’m wondering whether ownership is aware of these details, that may sound small, but define in a sense whether you will trust a place a second time. We probably won’t and this is unfortunate, as we were really hyped!

Wonderful courtyard, in an amazing location: an extremely tasteful space that surprises you as you don't expect to find it in the Greek countryside! The service is excellent and fast, a menu with exactly what you expect to find in a good restaurant that respects the customer and its ingredients! Our dishes are well-cooked and tasty, the salad and appetizers neat and tasty! Sweets deserve a little more attention and love! I highly recommend it as the best meal in the area and undoubtedly the neatest place in the area!

We got recommendation from our hotel as one of the best restaurants in the area. We made a reservation in advance and it was a wise move - the restaurant was full on Monday night. The food was great, the service was superb. My daughter had a stuffed mushrooms and said it was the best didh she had at the entire vacation. Highly recommended!

We went looking for somewhere to eat and we ended up in the square of Tsagarada.
The restaurant conquers you from afar with its perfect lighting and excellent plants that create a perfect environment to eat.
The service very polite and the food perfect!
I chose an excellent dish - lasagna with vegetables, but the pennies with truffle aroma were very good as well as the pork pie with potatoes baby!
Terrible salad with lenses and rock!
You can't not go if you're in Tsagarada, everybody's looking for the lost unicorn

Stayed one night at this wonderful hotel. So full of interest inside with lovely terrace for breakfast. Would loved to have had the opportunity of dining there but the restaurant was not open in early season. Everything else though was memorable. Breakfast on the terrace surrounded by plants was a delight.

Excellent place, helpful settvis but mediocre food! We got lamb and chicken! The menu said other sauces, but they actually served us without any explanation!!! Both meats are quite soft, but not tasty! The mulled wine is very good!

Excellent food, tasty and made from quality ingredients, original flavors. Normal prices for what the whole package offers. The staff is excellent, just in our case a little “shy”. Of course we do not know what each person draws..We love animals but for the level of the restaurant they should pay a little more attention..

If you want good food, but also the best spot to enjoy, this is the place. Lost Unicorn means Good food, good service an more than these, extraordinary location ( one of the best in Continental Greece). And at a short distance is one of the beautiful beaches in Greece: Milopotamos.

Uniq location near by the ancient tree. Very nice and authentic interior design with many collectors items. Food was delicious and all dietary requirements (carnivores…vegetarians ..) were absolutely great.

Finally we found a place in Pelion that offers creative dishes, and more vegetarian options than most other restaurants in the area that offer the same menu.
I would recommend to the chef to also add a couple of more healthy options too (less sauces, cheeses, fatty options) and it would be perfect for the more modern traveller.

It is blended with the trees and the forest in a unique way. The food is excellent, the service very good and the whole place amazing. Book for sure. Do not miss it. Cakes are excellent too.
