We were really looking forward to enjoying a burger however we weren't allowed to enjoy it as we were rushed out given there were reserved tables arriving. Poorly treated, I won't be recommending this to anyone.

Interesting to find a German inspired beer bar in Italy, but a good way to end a day of skiing. Enjoyed a Weizen beer and the good spirit of the local in Castel di Sangro. Friendly atmosphere and fair prices.

I had two late night meals at Dunkelblonde birreria. The food and service was excellent, along with great choices of beer on draught. Had lamb with pasta first night, and a juicy, succulent burger subsequently.

The DunkelBlonde ale house is a typical Bavarian alehouse in the heart of the Abruzzo, elegantly furnished, using the antique products of low bavaria it was possible to recreate a corner of Bavaria in Castel di Sangro. The kitchen offers the opportunity to enjoy goulash, pork shank, Leberkase, excellent wurzel and other typical dishes of Bavarian cuisine, as well as the excellent sandwiches. The beers served are of excellent quality, and served following the dictates of typical Bavarian beer.
