Me and my husband love Rubio and often recommend to visit. The setting is just special, the food good and the staff are always polite and welcoming. At the moment with social distancing the area on level one is designed for dining but under normal circumstances, would be somewhere with lovely comfy sofas, some jazz and a relaxed vibe. Just perfect to spend an afternoon there looking out over the Mar Menor. We had a Sunday lunch booking with two friends and they loved it too, it was very busy and we knew that we only had a limited time at the table, maybe 2 hours but we didn't feel rushed at all and had time left to finish our wine on the outside terrace. Love it!

Are here for a birthday celebration with my wife. Very enjoyable and everything was just perfect. Great location to watch the sun go down over the Mar Menor, great food and service. We started with two oysters each, along with a shared white tuna belly salad. Mains were a steak and a charcoal grilled turbot both of which were fab. A tiramisu style pud and and a pastry with ice cream to finish off. Each course a delight. Drinks: one beer (pint), one very generous G and T a glass of white wine . 88 euros all in which would have been very reasonable at a standard restaurant, but from a restaurant offering all those extras- location, great, attentive service, it was great value and felt every bit like a special occasion.

This was the first time we visited El Rubio and it certainly will not be our last. The views are stunning. Be sure to book before sunset so that you can take in the film beauty and changing landscape. Our waiter was very helpful in choosing dishes. And the food was first class. This is primarily a fish restaurant and although my husbands and our companions love fish I am a little more fussy but I was adventurous and ordered the clams which were lovely and I’d order again. For a moan I chose the sirloin steak which was cooked perfectly to my taste of medium rare and was juicy and flavoursome. I highly recommend this restaurant. The whole experience and ambience is not to be missed.

Just returned from an evening with family and friends . A little disappointed with the evening as I had heard great things about this restaurant. The setting is beautiful with a table looking out over to La Manga strip. Service started off well with attentive staff, however once we were served our main meal they seemed to disappear for ages. Food was over priced, cold and minimal portion size with no veg served. There were 8 of us and we did have wine and drinks, some had starters and desserts . Bill came to roughly 400 euros . Which was a lot considering my lamb chops were cold served with fries and were mainly bones. I would not rush back , had better meals elsewhere.

We first visited on Sunday 6th June and had a most enjoyable meal with impeccable service. We went back again on 8th June and the experience was awful. The service was unfriendly, surly and unhelpful. The dishes came in haphazard fashion for both starter and main. One of dishes was a steak which was asked to be medium rare and turned up late and well done. Although it was removed from the bill albeit with bad grace it didn't help the evening. Halfway through the meal they started playing music at a very loud volume which killed conversation until they turned it down after a struggle to get our surly waiter's attention. The only bright spot was the delightful Ukrainian waitress who did her best to retrieve a bad situation. Overall be careful when you book and avoid Wednesday for certain

This restaurant is in a lovely position overlooking the sea. It is well heated on a slightly cooler winter day. The staff are very friendly and the service is very good. I have not visited Spain very much but I’m now convinced food isn’t served as hot as I would like, it is obviously a cultural difference and I’ll just have to get used to it. The star of the meal was the nougatine cake, I only tasted a bit from my companion, but it is worth visiting for that alone. The total bill for wine and three courses for two people was 84 euros.

We visited on a Saturday night as part of a group of six. Our table was located on one of the upper tiers and afforded us a terrific view of the Mar Menor and surrounding area. Serving staff were pleasant and efficient. The menu is varied with an emphasis on seafood. That said, the steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and was probably the finest I’ve had in the region. This place is more on the pricey side but the quality of food and surroundings more than make up for paying a little more.

Our first time here - we hadn't booked, but super staff managed to find us a table. Really great location on the edge of the sea, and easy parking. If you like fish, you won't be disappointed, but meat eaters also catered for. We enjoyed salmon tataki with some wasabi mayonnaise and then grilled sole, both beautifully presented. Mille feuille and a coffee mouse with Baileys both scrumptious. We booked our return visit. It got very busy after 2pm, so with four of us next time, it seemed a wise thing to do. A really enjoyable experience.

Had dinner here tonight and it was so disappointing. Firstly no champagne glasses, then my husband’s starter came but mine didn’t so after 3 different servers came to ask mine arrived. Then our steaks turned up and I’d asked for medium it was in the servers words blue! So he took it away & within minutes it was back still raw. So by now my husbands steak is cold so he asked them to take it away until my food was ready. We asked to see the manager but they sent a server. We finally finished our dinner with no one coming to check or apologise & no one came to pour our drinks throughout the meal. We have been here numerous times and it’s always been fantastic. It’s such a shame l don’t know what has happened but the service was absolutely awful and to top it we got charged the full amount €103 we didn’t stay for desserts.

I recommend the establishment to my friends , and we decided to have a beer and decide whether to eat there on not . As we hadn’t booked , we were directed to the balcony area . We were not acknowledged by the area barman who was young and as we found out untrained . After 15 minutes , the barman asked the pretty young girls , clad in bikinis if they wanted more drinks , even though they hadn’t finished the ones they had . He then engaged a second barman to mix their cocktails at the local balcony bar . After 20 minutes I asked the second barman if we could be served , he said he would be 5 minutes . After a further 15 minutes and no service , we walked out , complaining to the front of house who tried to stop us leaving , but the damage was done . We walked around the corner to a beachside bar , who acknowledged us immediately, and we had our beer in minutes and food in a respectable time . It’s called Brothers and minutes away with sea views . It was probably a third of the price of the 360 , but the service was first class . Come on 360 you need to do better , you have the location , views and chefs , all you need now is trained bar personnel. I note other people have left similar reviews on here , so the Management are not either reading this reviews or not taking action !

We came here on a friends recommendation, however we left feeling a bit underwhelmed and disappointed. My pregnant girlfriend found a piece of scouring pad in the clam & aubergine dish, which was a bland and didn't taste of much. The calamari was a bit breaddy and not as good as elsewhere we ate on our holiday. However, I thought the raw food was decent. I had red prawn carpaccio with pistachio oil, and tunar tartar with melon. Both were very good. Lobster rice was a bit plain but pleased to have a whole lobster in it rather than small pieces. Didn't look that appetising and again, not as good as other places we ate in the 10 days we were in the murcia area. The setting was good, with lovely views out over the Mar Menor and a stylish appearance to the restaurant. Staff were friendly.

El Rubio 360º @ Lo Pagan / San Pedro Anniversary Meal tonight, not low budget, pricier than many places but wow! Without a doubt worth every cent! Amazing view over the Mar Menor, Various seating options and a bar only outdoor area. Began the evening with water and cocktail, cocktails are excellent, I had Mai Tai and Rex went for a glass of white wine. Both delicious. Sitting at the outside bar area a lovely breeze cooling is off from the hot day and cold drinks, perfect. We then moved inside to a sea view air conditioned seat. The restaurant was busy for 1930, people arriving all the time. Service was great and food came out in an acceptable time. Starters were octopus, artichokes, and white tuna belly salad, we shared them all, the octopus was just lovely. Tender melt in the mouth, and the other two were just as fresh and tasty! For mains Rex took the Turbot and I the Canarian Lobster rather than the much more expensive Gallician Lobster. my lobster is probably the biggest best and freshest I've had so far in Spain. It was sweet, soft and delicious. Served with many handout fries and tomatoes and peppers, cooked on the grill. It was really lip smacking good. Rex had Turbot which he said was also delicious and the best he's had. I didn't try it because I was under no circumstances about to share my lobster. With the meal a few glasses of house red and white and a large bottle of water. Finished off with a coffee back on the bar terrace. Perfect evening of food and drink. For us a place for a special occasion, or a a little treat. Not an everyday restaurant for most people I would assume. No room for dessert at all, such a shame but we were both so full after starters and main there just wasn't room at all for anything else. Highly recommend this place, in Lo Pagan/San Pedro, it has it all, the food, the service, the drinks and the views

Came highly recommended by a number of friends so decided to give it a whirl on an evening when we felt like a treat was in order. Cocktails on the terrace to start then moved into the air-conditioned conservatory with sea view to begin the meal. Warm welcome from the front of house. We both ate starter which was very a lovely tuna salad and octopus leg. Both cooked and prepared perfectly. For mains we both had lobster, the waiter was very knowledgeable and explained the different lobsters to us, even brought them to the table to show us the difference. They arrived cooked in good time and I will say perfectly cooked and fresh as you like! The house wine which we both had, was also excellent. All in all a fantastic meal with wonderful service. Highly recommend.

Is the Rubio 360 a nice restaurant serving good food in great location, yes! However if you’re thinking of having a relaxed unhurried evening this certainly isn’t the place, we’ve now been there several time’s and there one consistent issue, everything is rushed. On the last visit I explained to our waitress that that we didn’t want each course to follow in quick succession, and she wrote clear instructions on our order, but unfortunately it still wasn’t to be. Once again as soon as we finished our starter, guess what the main course arrived. Ultimately if you’re short for time it’s an ideal venue, as the’ll get fully fed and back out on the street before you know it. As I said before we’ve no complaints about the food, venue or staff, so next time we’ll only give an order for each course individually in an attempt to try and control the pace and enjoy the evening at a more relaxed and leisurely pace.

First time my husband and I have been, we came with friends and it was fabulous. We will definitely be back. We had mixed starters and steak and fish for mains, everyone was really happy with all of the food and the service, not forgetting the views!!
