Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great location, quick service and even better food at a good price. The girls would play in the sand whilst waiting for the food, and the food came quickly even if the place was full. The smoked salmon, calamari and the squid were yummy. I would definitely recommend this place.

Rented sunbeds and ate here for a couple of days. The service was excellent. Friendly and efficient and I personally think it was very reasonably priced. Tried somewhere else on our third and final day but it was no where near as good as Kiosko Rocio. A great little find and would highly recommend.

This is a nice typical Spanish restaurant, cafe beach bar. It serves good food and drink at very good prices. We found the staff to be friendly and obliging. It is situated roughly central of the beach area. I fully recommend it and it is well worth finding.

We went to this little beach restaurant to get food. We ordered food, and when the food came it looked so terrible!! It tasted even worse. The staff seemed sloppy, and they were not friendly. One of us ordered a sandwich, and it was the driest ever! We do not recommend:( It was so pricy for nothing!

Ordered fish & chips mushy peas, no mushy peas but not told and awful mushy coleslaw in its place, food was awful. Beer very good and staff friendly but would never eat there again.

We think this place is great.Joanna and Juan own it and have come to know us over the years and always give us a lovely welcome. They don't speak English and we don't speak very much Spanish but the overall atmosphere is fabulously Spanish and Juan calls me "Gringo".We love it!

We went for a late lunch as we had rented sunbeds right in front of the beach bar. The others had sandwiches of different kinds and I had fried anchovies with lemon. I was the most happy with the meal, all bocadillos were quite dry and the hamburger was nearly raw. Stay with the spanish dishes and you’ll be pleased, as others have stated the staff only speak Spanish but are eager to understand and very nice. Good prices, too.

Well first on a walk we had a drink which while we were there we had some free tasty green olives which encouraged us to order a prawn cooked in garlic tapas to share which we both found very tasty and soaked up the garlic liquid with the bread. That was our first visit and as the bill was reasonable we returned twice more. The next time was our beach day when we hired our two sunbeds and a parasol in front of this beach bar in the sand so you can relax and sun bath then when ready take a dip in the sea which is very shallow going a long way out so was safe for Sue who can't swim as well as any children as well. That said there are Life guards stationed along this entire beach up until the end of September as that is when the season finishes officially it states on the notice boards on the promenade. This visit we left the sunbeds and sat at a table for a cold beer and two tapas dishes squid and spanish omelette which we shared before returning to our sunbeds until leaving at 5pm. The final time was on our day we returned home by a late evening flight so was killing time so returned here for late lunch with a cold beer. This time I had egg and chips and Sue decided on another Spanish Omelette which was followed by more cold beers and hot coffees as we were killing time so sat there over an hour. On all three visits we found service with a smile from our waitress and all the food was excellent and the drinks were served cold. So we have no hesitation in recommending this beach bar if you want good tasty food cold beer or drinks with a smile. Sue & John Eastbourne UK

Hard to find but really nice when we did (before us, no pictures on Trip Advisor). Nice, calm and good food (tried several tapas and swordfish). The staff only speak spanish but really friendly and no problem ordering food (they even have some pictures on the menu). Recommended.

We stayed on this part of the beach most days. Wide selection of tapas and meals available at reasonable prices. Try their croquetas or calamares Andalusia.....delicious! 2 sunbeds and an umbrella €8 per day. Lager 3.50€ a pint (if you like lager and lime and for a tanqua con lima).

Great quality tapas and main meals. All very tasty. We made several visits here and were warmly greeted by some of the staff members. Others were typically stoney faced but this can be found allover the world. Tapas are fresh and beers chilled. Had a great big juicy steak for 10.50 Euro. It was first class. Can't beat that. And it's in the beach. We love this town and will return next year

We know this little beach restaurant for two years. Nice located just at the beach. Beach is called Villananitos. You can sit in the sun or in the shade. Menu good many tapas. We like the prawns, fresh every day. All other tapas good. Good wines and beer. Staff very customer focus. Friendly.

Located right on Villananitos beach on its promenade. The attention of the staff is correct, although you can notice the loaded backpack after the summer, the prices are normal, but the quantities are small, but appropriate to the size of the region. The dishes come well plated, good presentation, good texture and good flavors.
