All reviews lunch fish and chips cake full english brisk walk lovely view worth the wait place to eat lovely food lovely waitress brilliant service fantastic meal could not fault piping hot views sea specials
We used to absolutely love visiting on weekends for lunch or breakfast.
However today it became apparent that our custom is no longer welcome, despite offering high chairs and a children’s menu, this is not a family friendly venue.
We eat out a lot as...a family and usually we are greeted by staff who take time to say hello to our children and are welcoming. Today we were “shushed” by one member of staff because our baby was making a noise, whilst another pulled faces. I accept people do not want children running riot and causing chaos, but he wasn’t! Our children were sat at the table waiting for their meals.
We felt so unwelcome we decided to leave and eat our food elsewhere.
As a parent I really hope no one else is made to feel how I was today. I suggest you put a sign up advising children are not welcome. Completely devastated by the way we were treated.More
Fish and chips really freshly made, and very nice. Made to order. Chips were top. We sat outside which was okay, seat were limited. Fish and chips was served in a take away box which was great during covid.
I’ve been going to this place for years and it never disappoints. Today we went for our Christmas dinner and as usual it was truly wonderful, the taste, the presentation, the staff and even the view.
If you get the chance to go then take...it....trust me!More
Having read about this place in a trendy magazine, was interested to see the architecture, which is linked to the Sidney opera house and the penguin enclosure at London zoo. On arrival we were greeted by the charming accommodating staff. The location is clean, in...fact the cleanest windows I've ever seen and the view through them is magical. It feels like sitting on a ship without the motion. I had the Christmas dinner which was delicious, juicy turkey and perfectly cooked vegetables . Everything was fresh and of excellent quality. We didn't see the seals so a perfect reason to drive from London and visit again.More
A nicely located restaurant, offering nicely cooked and presented food
The staff are very helpful although a little too many so we were asked about our order a few times by different people.
There is currently no drinks menu or prices so you order what...they offer and hope it’s not to expensive!
The food is presented well and flavour is excellent, they currently have a deal so the meal is very good valueMore
We just went for a walk around the beach and we couldn't resist ourselves to go in, after the best welcoming and friendly service we ever had. Thanks to all the staff, specially to "JILL" who made our time really unique, we'll be back!
Lovely to have a bit of class on Canvey! Great breakfast, I had salmon and scrambled eggs on a bagel, my son had pancakes, and my partner had a full English. It was magnificent. Lovely table by the window with the gorgeous view of the...sea. Was wonderful. 10/10More
