Have been a few times now..and am happy to return again and again because I love the location next to the canal...the food is good...the pub is pleasant inside..and the staff are very attentive which I really value. You can't fault the presentation of the food....ours came on a long wooden board...the chips were well cooked which surprisingly not everyone... More

We are regular visitors to Carnforth, and make a stop at this pub when we can. They're dog friendly, with attentive and engaging staff. When we visited last weekend, they'd just had a power cut which must have been a real nuisance for them, but we were assured all was in hand, and we would be able to order within... More

We visited Christmas Eve afternoon for a meal with 4 adults and 1 dog. The staff were so welcoming and the place is very doggy friendly with the dogs own two pugs on hand to say hello to. There are treats for the doggies and the menu for humans is gorgeous. I had pork done 2 ways and the sauce... More

Visited on Christmas eve as we were staying in a lodge nearby and wanted a meal out which could accommodate our fur baby (dog) We were not disappointed. The bar is very friendly with dog treats on the bar. The human menu is full and varied with local dishes. We had starters and mains and they were delicious. The pub... More

It was difficult to believe we were turning into the right Car Park as in the dark it looked very industrial. The welcome was OK but we had gone for a meal and they didn't do any food on Mondays so I cant comment on it,

Hi Helen We've never done food on Mondays; it is itemised on our menu boards outside the pub and listed on our website and social media platforms. In short, food has always been served 6 days a week and the fact we only open for drinks on Mondays is highly transparent in the public domain. With this in mind is... More

First and definitely last visit here. Very disappointing. One of us had a starter, the place was not busy, the condiments were delivered to the table while we were waiting for the main course,s, then surprisingly we were asked if we could be tempted with desserts 😏Half an our later we received our meals. Gammon undercooked and greasy, fried eggs solidified, bullet... More

Being canaloholics we just HAD to eat here overlooking the Lancaster Canal. The staff were friendly and the chef was very good. Everything was home made from fresh ingredients. A lovely evening. A tip try the salsa with the battered brie. Mumm.

Really welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We are frequent visitors to the pub and often have a meal. The food was fine, traditional pub grub, but nothing to make it stand out from all other pubs in the area. Much to our delight we learn that a talented local chief had joined Canal Turn and we expressed as much to the... More

Hi Louise I am at a bit of a loss here. We've only taken two hot starter dishes off the menu and tweaked the Xmas roast so customers can still choose their meat or veggie option, but the veg / garnsh comes as a set. That is all and hardly represents a reversion back to the old menu. We had... More
