Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fresh and hot homemade food, really good portion sizes and very friendly, helpful staff. Proper country pub, good beer, no pretensions, and a good varied menu including pub classics done well. Would recommend and go back without hesitation.

I am a vegetarian so I had a roast lunch without meat.No salmon or cod on the menu so this was my choice.I was disappointed when I paid my bill that they only took £1 OFF the price of my meal .I would have expected...at least £3 as that is the dearest part. The meal was very nice ,but disgusting price .Shame on you plough in claverly.More

Our family (12no) were treated to a wonderful Sunday roast dinner at The Plough Inn Claverley while celebrating a special birthday. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the service and food were the best we’ve had for a long time. Thank you to...all involved. We would definitely recommend a visit to family & friends.More

This is one of the friendliest pubs I’ve ever been in, a proper old British pub. The staff and owner were all helpful and very welcoming as were the locals. The food was amazing, there was a great selection of beers and we had a...fantastic experience staying on the car park in our motorhome it was so quiet. I would heartily recommend the Plough Inn at Claverley to anyone.More

Visited over many years, dissapointed they have not upped there game in this cutthroat world of pub lunches and the passion has gone long ago, stuck around back of chimney breast, very little veg between two lunches, Roast potatoes pathetic, overall, the bill was to...my mind £8-10 overpriced for what we had, on the plus side the B&B pudding delicious Will leave it now for 12 months to hear local FB??More

Arranged a meal for several members of our family. We had a booking elsewhere which cancelled, so came across the Plough via the reviews on here. Considering we phoned for a fairly large table on a saturday night, the staff couldn't have been more helpful....We hadn't been to the Plough prior to the meal, but were all very pleased . Staff were all really freindly, food was very nice. We had some of the Tapas starters and everyone had their own main course. We had amongst us the duck, several plates of the pork goulash(?) and a steak. To a person everyone commented on how much they had enjoyed the food and were very complimentary of the pub overall. Thank you all for a lovely evening.More

We visited the plough with our good friends and were instantly welcomed with a warm, friendly smile and hello. The pub has a really lovely vibe, it was busy and the hustle and bustle was lovely to see. We were seated quickly and drinks were...almost served straightaway. We were given time to peruse the menu and recommendations were given. Our starters,a selection of Tapas were mouthwatering. Enough time between starters and main allowed us not to feel rushed. The main courses of steaks, risotto, and lamb chops with side dishes were then bought to the table. All absolutely mouthwatering. Desserts were just wonderful. The banana cake and panacotta were another level! At the end of our meal the chefs(owners) came to our table to see if everything had been ok and to receive feedback. Well done to all the staff at the Plough we shall definitely be returning.More

Visited with a friend on a Saturday evening. Only downside of the visit was the choice of 6.30 or after 8pm ‘sitting’. We chose the five tapas plates option and everything was delicious. Particularly good was the prawn puri and the vegetable empanadas. There was...a lovely atmosphere in the pub and the staff were friendly and efficient. Fantastic!More

Their website and this Tripadvisor page state Wednesday, Open 12:00 - 3:00pm. It wasn't. No indication anywhere that it would be closed. Not even an apology in the entrance. People were arriving (presumably for lunch and a pint) and having to drive off again. Doesn't...the manager (or owner) of this pub understand how to add important up-to-date information on the pub's own website? My advice to the public? Phone up before even thinking about having lunch time meals here. The nearby "Crown" served me a lovely pint after my walk.More

After a walk around Worfield woods our group was in need of sustenance and found it at The Plough in the nearby village of Claverley. Access is tight along the lanes but the car park is ample and then you can enjoy a super lunch....The meat & veg dishes are excellent with beef a speciality however the choice of other dishes is wide and varied even for veggies etc. Service is spot on. Massive car park (always a bonus) and well set out tables etc so we felt safe. We'd had a walk in the woods and really needed the famous jug of Pimm's when we arrived. Prompt, friendly service and lovely staff. They know their stuff and...were happy to advise about allergies and food. This is exactly what a country pub should be like!More

We do have a bar area for drinkers and a welcoming garden with plenty of seating, drinkers are most welcome and we have a great selection of real ales, classic wines and a huge gin selection.
