This is a shed on a beach! Don't be fooled though. This is a bright, cheerful and quirky shed with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Inside is warm and cosy with a log fire. One pot of tea, one double, triple chocolate ice cream, a somewhat dubious flat white coffee (hence the rating), a visit or two from a Welsh Collie, a few bars from a resident/passing (?) guitarist and we were refreshed and ready to go again. Great views, good hospitality, we enjoyed out visit and hopefully will be back next time we are in the area. Thank you.

Me and my daughter went to Penmon to see the lighthouse for the first time. As per previous poster, there was a man standing at the entrance but I believe that this is the charge from the land owner for accessing the area and has nothing to do with the cafe. After looking at the views and walking around my daughter and I built up a bit of an appetite. We visited the cafe and sat at one of the tables. We didn't wait long before our order was taken (we were also greeted with a lovely welcome) We ordered a 14" pizza and chips with milkshakes on the side. WOW it was impressive, my daughter referred to it as the world's biggest pizza, with an equally generaous portion of chips :) Absolutely delicious both left absolutely stuffed. Lovely food, polite staff, and amazing views. Will definitely be coming back before summer is out. I thought it was really good value for money.

I came to Penmon point on a whim and was thrilled to find the most beautiful place in Pilot Cafe with the BEST people. The owners of the cafe could not have done more to make me feel welcome, they quickly introduced themselves, their kids and dogs, I stayed a few days and I was made to feel like one of the family. The restaurant serves fantastic pizzas , burgers and scones, and unlike may places, they do not scrimp, everything is overloaded, the cheesiest pepperoni pizza to take to the beach, more cream and jam on a scone than any human could consume, hot chocolate topped with a mountain of cream and a flake... the atmosphere is truly lovely and the views fantastic, both from the beer garden with its cheery painted pastel tables to the beach opposite. We saw a vivd purple sunset, dolphins and double rainbow end to end over the cafe itself. There is bioluminescence here too! This is a happy place and great for the soul.Don't miss it! <3 <3 <3

The Pilot House Cafe used to be all about simplicity - you felt like you were supporting a local business that did the basics very well in a beautiful location. These days, it's all about catering to the masses in their caravans or on staycations. Gone are the toasties and homemade cakes, which have been replaced by overpriced burgers, pizzas and mass-produced cakes. Even though the staff are still lovely, it's gone very catchpenny with low-quality, manufactured food sold at hugely inflated prices.

Due to covid-19 restrictions there was no indoor seating. The cool strong breeze did not suit sitting at one of the outside tables so we retreated to the car. The various cakes on affer looked fine, the carrot cake was very nice. However the sausage bap cannot be reccomended as the bap was dry and so were the sausages, one of which tasted like it had been cooked the day before. All in all not a particularly pleasant experience

We were at Penmom Point & nipped in here for a snack & a cuppa. The ladies serving were amazingly helpful, there was a great choice of food & drink & one lady even carried out the items that I couldn't manage on my own. I was also surprised at the modest prices, thinking they would be far higher as they have a monopoly. It was so cool sat outside with the amazing views - highly recommended.

Myself and my wife completed another section of the anglesey coastal path from Beaumaris to penmon point and we were not disappointed it was brilliant would recommend to everyone! Arrived at the cafe 11.50am outside tables available was pleased with covid in circulation. The menu was large plenty of choices but very expensive, they are missing a trick not doing toasties or paninis! The tea was £2.25 i repeat £2.25 and bacon and egg bap £4.75 so not cheap but no other options so can charge what they want! Staff were nice, toilet was clean. Personally wont visit the cafe again but overall just ok!

Visited this café recently and very disappointed in how the standard has changed since our last visit. Purchased two coffees and two slices of Bara Brith , the coffee was mediocre and the Bara Brith was very dry. All for the grand sum of £12.40 served in paper cups and cardboard plates is this necessary.

Busy and popular award-winning family run business at Black Point, Penmon. They have an extensive menu in eats and drinks and the food is both superb and modestly priced. Pizzas are a speciality as is the cakes and cream teas. The staff are all extremely helpful and seem to be very professional and respectful even when faced with such a volume of customers. It's also a cheerful, dog-friendly cafe, and I know how popular it is for many other visitors. Would most definitely recommend it to all who intend to visit the area on a day out. Top marks!

Came for a Sunday evening meal after a lovely walk up to the lighthouse this evening with the family. We ordered burgers, pizza for the kids and the chef even went out of his way to make us some lovely side salads as a special request despite it not being on the menu. We have visited a few times now and the food is always fantastic here. The burgers are fresh, there's an excellent choice of toppings and you get s generous portion of delicious chips on the side. The kids also loved their pizza; again freshly made and absolutely delicious. Nothing seems too much trouble, the cafe itself is cosy and inviting (whether you're sitting inside or out) and the setting is second to none. Perfect place to bring the family for an easy and satisfying meal on a Sunday evening (or any night of the week!) Thank you Pilot House cafe for some great food!

After reading the reviews was keen to try Pilot House Cafe however an overall disappointing experience with arguably one of the poorest breakfasts we've had - never mind the £3.50 you have to pay to Dick Turpin at the priory just to drive there! Location is lovely with great views. We ordered two big breakfasts for £9.75 each, which gives you one small mushroom cut into quarters, 2 anemic pieces of bacon that I suspect may have been left out overnight as they were rock hard. The baps are poor and going stale, the sausages were also poor and plasticy- you'd expect fresh local produce given the fantastic local farms. The hash browns were okay. Rather than complain, I did the propper British thing of mutter under my breath and left, never to return again.

Situated right at the end of the peninsula overlooking Puffin Island, yo need to pay 3.50 to pass through the Abbey to reach the cafe. We ate outdoors on benches, although sadly no direct view of the island from the cafe. Staff very nice and friendly, and we enjoyed our lunch of loaded fries and chicken strips.

After spending the morning photographing the local lighthouse we decided to have lunch at The Pilot House Cafe, we sat outside as the weather was nice but there were a couple of indoor tables now covid restrictions have eased a little. I had a 9” Hawaiian pizza and my partner their Hawaiian burger both were freshly made and super tasty, they also had a good selection of ice cream and cakes for a little treat (they also sell some homemade preserves and Bara Brith). Staff were friendly and helpful and would definitely visit again if we were in the area.

Absolutely brilliant breakfast with really helpful friendly owners all in a unique beautiful location. We had a spectacular morning walk along the Anglesey coastline followed by the best full Welsh breakfast I can remember. Huge portions of freshly cooked local ingredients and piping hot coffees and teas. Friendly family run cafe all in all 10 out of 10 for everything!!

Pilot House Cafe is a little gem of a place with an amazing view from the outside seating area. The food is freshly cooked or you can buy what looks to be great coffee and cake. We had freshly cooked pizza from their pizza oven which was really tasty, couldn’t finish it all so we took some home with us. Despite being short staffed (no doubt due to Covid) the staff were absolutely lovely, the food was cooked and brought out really quickly. You can tell how hard the staff were working and yet they were still really friendly. The views are pretty awesome too, well worth our cycle down from Beaumaris! But there is a car park next to the cafe too. You can tell how great a place it is because it was really busy and people just kept coming. If you’re in the area this cafe is definitely well worth a visit!
