We dropped in for a snack. My wife enjoyed a slice of Dutch allow cake with cream, which seemed better than the ones she had tried elsewhere. I had a Local (Texel brewery ) beer which I enjoyed. We sat outside and our dog was welcomed with a bowl of water. Inside restaurant was individually decorated. Well worth a visit.

The food was amazing. We had dinner here after a long day of cycling, on the way back to the boat (15 mins by bike). The food is in the mid-range, and are of royal proportions. The food was served quickly and the staff was attentive and friendly. I had the veal Saté and my girlfriend had the ravioli, both... More

Texel is a Dutch island in the "Waddenzee" off the North-Holland coast. Not surprisingly a top 10 Lonely Planet trip. A variety of landscape: dunes, strand, sea, woods, polders and old dykes. Den Hoorn is a small authentic village with a relaxed atmosphere. In the middle you 'll walk up to the "Inn de Knip". Cosy restuarant and a nice... More

Don't let yourself be discouraged by the old looking wood and bird poop on the chair... The food is amazing, the best my group has had on this little island. From salads to turkey and shrimps... Everything was a taste extravaganza ... Totally recommend it!

We just had drinks and snacks here, which were served fast and absolutely fine. All the dishes that were served around us looked delicious and well-cared for. Due to an event in the town of Den Hoorn, we didn't have the occasion to go back for a full-blown dinner, but I'm sure that we will return and that the food... More

In the small village Den Hoorn this small restaurant is a must. The interior is very nice with a lot of stuff on the walls. Good food and the local beer is served. A lot of people during lunch. Seems to be a popular lunch stop.

At first you are a bit surprised- you never find the menu card in English. But all the staff speak perfect English. They always smile, look extremely friendly and are ready to explain you everything you want to know about the menu. When you ask smth they don't have, no problem)) they create it))) everything is delicious))

I love the whole setting. It's Dutch gezelligheid (cosyness but then different) all over. The staff is very friendly and cheerful and fast. The terrace is big enough and nicely decorated.

We had diner here on 2nd Christmas Day. Because we had to take the last ferry we asked the waitress if she could take that into account and this was not a problem. The friendly staff delivered us an lovely garlic soup and tasteful kangaroo steak. Beside we got a small amuse and fresh supplements that made our meal complete.... More
