It is the best Iranian food in Brighton. The food is freshly and homely made by a lovely chef, mostly the grill and rice pot is in front of you so you can see what they are cooking, is also good value for the money as well. Kind, warm and friendly approach by staff members every time we have been with friends and family. Will definitely return to Shiraz and will recommend it to everyone, Put Shiraz restaurant in your diaries as your top list visit to Brighton for Iranian food, specially coming into the month of love in February, book those tables in for your dates, valentines, and any parties.

Good for vegans

The service was extremely nice and there were several delicious starters suitable for vegans as well as some delicious vegan stews for main courses. The Lebanese beer was good and the complimentary baklava brought over with the bill was a great bonus. This was our third visit and we will definitely come back again soon.

Visited on a Saturday evening based on other reviews. Not disappointed. Eventhough there were 3 large parties in, it in no way affected the quality of the food or service we received. Food is excellent and service is as you need it to be. Table are a bit close together but didn't bother us and the atmosphere is lively but not loud. Will definately visit again and would recommend to friends

Despite the 100s of restaurants in Brighton and Hove, and we have tried most, the Shiraz is our favourite. The food, the wine, the service, value for money and the ambiance are great and just right - even the background music. Thank you. We'll be booking again soon!

We visit it three times. The owner was in charge of the BBQ himself and took the time to approach our table at the end of the dinner to check how everything was. Food was superb and service excellent. We can't wait to come back.

First time at this restaurant in Hove. Glad we booked as busy with nice atmosphere. Matin welcomed us and explained the menu as our first time. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Nihal was the chef in charge of the grill (which you can see in the restaurant) and he clearly knows what he is doing. Meat was tender and so full of flavour. We felt Matin went out if his way to make us feel welcome and enjoy our meal to the fullest. Highly recommend and we will definitely be returning. Re COVID, Perspex screens set up between the tables, all staff wearing masks, sanitizer readily available. Felt very safe and protected.

Thought we would have a walk in Hove last minute and see if we could get a table somewhere different for a change. We stopped here as it looked welcoming. Busy and a nice decor especially the lovely lighting. Luckily for us they had a table for two as long as we were out by 8.30pm which was ideal. The staff were friendly, funny and the right amount of attention given. As we were new to the restaurant and indeed Persian our server made suggestions based on our preferred meats which was very helpful. We both really enjoyed our meal, especially the Halloumi and the meat was so tender! We will return with friends and family i'm sure!

Shiraz Grill-house - Hove I met the owner of this restaurant a few weeks back at my work and he told me he owned this place so we arranged a date to come and try it!! I can honestly say it was absolutely delicious We had 2 starters to share between us the first one was a hot starter which was Halloumi and the honey dip and the honey dip was spectacular🤩 The cold starter was different but it worked well, feta cheese with spring onions, mint, walnut and radishes. This all tasted really fresh and probably actually left me with good breath because of the mint 🤣 The mains were so delicious. I had the skewer with chargrilled peppers, lamb & chicken because I couldn’t choose between the two meats. The meats were really tender and full of marinated flavour. The rice had a nice flavour to it too and the salad was great on the side. The sauces it came with was a green chilli sauce and a garlic mayo which both of course were delicious 😍😍 Overall a really lovely experience and I’m glad that I tried it out. I can whole heartedly recommend this restaurant and would 100% go back to the other dishes. The pricing was reasonable and also the service was friendly and he was really helpful at suggestion things on the menu as there was so much good choice we struggled to make our minds up

Really good vibes here. The team are passionate, are in to and know the menu, are patient, warm and funny. You can tell they get on and work well together , which creates a lovely feeling. Really good covid management too, felt safe here, comfortable and looked after. The food is excellent and the smokey aubergine dip and oven crisp flat bread is awesome. Thank you to Sammy who was very patient with us 😊 and was a very funny attentive host - a great place thank you 🙏🙏🙏

First time visit, chosen based on excellent reviews and fancied trying something different - never been to a Persian restaurant before. Really enjoyed it and will definitely return. Went on a Friday evening, clearly a popular choice so booking recommended. Whilst the restaurant was full with a nice vibe, it didn’t feel crowded at all which is good. Service was excellent - very friendly and chatty without ever being intrusive. We picked out the Shiraz sharing platter for two as it seemed a great way to try a variety of dishes. You got to choose one hot and one cold starter from any of those on the menu, and then the main dish was three different meat skewers with a choice of two side dishes (see photos). It was certainly a generous amount of food and the meat was beautifully cooked - the lamb in particular was a favourite. Good value too. We were too full for a dessert, but couldn’t resist some of their baklava to take away with us! A very enjoyable meal and evening. Definitely recommend.

Excellent Food and Top Service

Came to Brighton to drop my parents to an apartment they rented for a few days for their honeymoon and we were looking for somewhere to have lunch. We found this gem on the high street and was so glad we found it. The food is absolutely amazing!! All our meals were so tasty and seasoned very well. Our waiter Rami made us feel very welcome and he was very polite and attentive. I would definitely visit this restaurant again.

Went to Shiraz for family lunch. 4 adults and 2 children. Myself and my dad had the mixed grill. It was excellent! A side of fresh chopped chilli and a yoghurt style garnish were provided. The chilli was great. My dish was huge, so definitely value for money. My wife has spotted a raspberry and spinach cake on the restaurant’s Facebook page, which was their special not normally included on the menu. My wife and I had a piece between us. It was really, REALLY good! Couldn’t taste the spinach at all. The decor was lovely and great ambiance. Very clean and well presented. The staff were very friendly and always on hand for any questions / requests.

I’ve been to this place many times over the years, I am pleased to say it is consistently good with great variety menu and specials. The open bbq grill gives that extra taste value. Staff are friendly and helpful. The mixed grill is value for money compared to some other places in town. Does takeaway too!

visited with friends & enjoyed a delicious meal of tender chargrilled chicken with saffron sauce in rice with chargrilled tomato & pepper & salad. Beautiful flavours & tasted fabulous.The starter was grilled haloumi with salad & a lovely honey & mint dressing. Our waiter Juma who brought some hot tea and mint drink.
