The food was excellent and the service and atmosphere was very friendly and genuine, a feat achieved despite some chap kicking off in a middle class manner because his food took an hour (actually 25minutes). Fair play, I would have been a bit touchy if...More

If you are looking for something tasty from Mediterrenian cuisine, I definitely recommend Makara. Perfect food and service.

Food was nice but very little of it! Platter for 5 was only really enough for 2-3 at a push. Service was poor. And they dont have a dessert menu! Everyone raved about it but its basically a posh kebab shop.

Overall disappointing. We had to flag down service for drinks, to order, for drinks... We went for the main platter. Defo not enough for 4 adults. Anatolia in Brighton still our fave for Turkish.

Really good mixed grill, cooked over hot coals front of house. Usual huge selection of hot and cold mezze - everything looked good. No complaints - much better than average Turkish restaurant.

This was the second time I'd been here and it was every bit as good as it was 3yrs ago. The food is out of this world. It is a very busy restaurant and I would advise booking if you intend to go fri-sun, otherwise...More

My wife is coeliac. When we asked, they gave us a complicated what-allergy-is-in-what-dish special listing, very detailed. Most of the dishes were fine, gluten-free. They didn't have a GF version of their wonderful... More
