I visited here for drinks and food with friends on Sunday. We sat outside and were impressed by the size of the beer garden. It was busy so had a good vibe but there were still tables available. Some shaded by a canopy roof; others...in the nice sunshine. We were a little disappointed when we arrived to find that roasts were unavailable. It was almost 5pm on a Sunday so we understood that they may run out. However, we had booked our table for food and specified this in our booking so were surprised to find the kitchen had closed earlier. However, we were told there would be a burgers menu available from 5:30pm. This confused us as the kitchen was listed as shutting at 6pm on a Sunday but it clearly stayed open longer. Although we had wanted a roast, the burgers were all very tasty (we had a mix of meat and veggie). The chips were great although they were listed on the menu as 'fries' and they were more like chunky chip shop chips (no complaints from me though as they were delicious!). All bar staff were friendly and the pub had a nice, welcoming atmosphere. If you're set on eating a particular thing, I'd perhaps phone up to book to make sure everything will go smoothly. I'd certainly be happy to eat and drink here again though. Only other downside was the toilet situation. Some were out of order and one of the in-order toilets had a broken seat. Not ideal. They were still far cleaner than those I have experienced in other pubs in the area, however. Overall, it was a nice pub that I look forward to returning to - especially in nice weather when you can enjoy its garden.More

A few of the staff could do with some manners and training on customer service. Only one member of staff was friendly.

Perfect place to celebrate my son's 18th birthday with a mixed group of grown ups and teens. Great atmosphere, really lovely, helpful staff who do the pub proud. Love this pub anyway because it has great live music too. Thanks the Brunswick - best local...pub in Hove.More

Booked the Brunswick for a roast and was very pleased with the food! It was yummy! The beef was super tasty! Only downfall was they had run out of cauliflower cheese which to be honest was probably a good thing as the meal was big!...And I was pleasantly stuffed. Really lovely friendly bar staff. Pub was very dog friendly so extra star!!! Oh and the live music was fab. Only downfall was the pub could do with a bit of TLC.More

We met here for drinks prior to a meal at Mekan. Great atmosphere. We’re going to come back in the summer as the beer garden looked nice.

I run a very large film group and was looking for a venue for our monthly evening meeting. Thanks to the services of the General Manager, I was able to make a group booking for 30 members of my film group in The Brunswick's beer...garden. The meeting went very smoothly, due in large part to the ideal set up in the designated ‘private area’ and the friendly and attentive service provided by the bar staff member who dealt with our drink orders. The venue proved perfect for our needs, and I was very impressed by the organisation and customer service provided by 'The Brunswick'. Thanks to the staff at 'The Brunswick', we had an enjoyable and productive meeting. The evening was so successful that I have already reserved tables for our next monthly meeting. .More
