Cute, clean coffee shop in a red barn building. Interesting array of local crafts and fantastic helpful staff as we had a problem with our debit card. Does not take credit card.
The Red Barn Lunch Bar ( food from Red Barn Café) has opened on the corner of Pohutu and McAlister Streets in Whakatane. The best mince pies we have tasted in a very long time! Steak mince used and a light pastry!!! Very tasty.
Nice relaxed feeling and out in the country not far from Whakatane on the Tauranga roadl.Plenty of parking. Very pleasant staff. Excellent fresh food and bakery goods. Pies are the best around. Garden atmosphere and plenty of seating inside and out.

Wonderful place for brunch or lunch. The cafe is in the country, set in lovely gardens. There is plenty of choice on the menu and although it is pretty basic, the food is very tasty.
