Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It’s a must for food if you’re staying or visiting Kizimkazi Food was exceptional and in terms of service in the area it was among the fastest (the service here is relaxed) Great location and a wonderful view. It’s a must

You don’t expect such an excellent food in a country like that. You can eat the fish that one hour ago the fisherman brought from the ocean the freshness of all the ingredients blew mi mind ! It really completes the experience of treating yourself...as a Queen 🤩 it doesn’t have any to envy a super expensive restaurant in the center if London and for half priceMore

Well the food is not bad, it's just exactly the same that you have everywhere in sanzibar but twice expensive. Very very slow and poor service. The view is the only good point.

I always try to look on the bright side. And we didn’t speak up as life is too short, but I wish I hadn’t gone out. Having seen positive reviews, we contacted the restaurant to ensure there were ample vegetarian options. We were advised yes...there were, and examples were provided. We then enquired about costs of transport, USD25, round trip. So we booked up. On arrival, we were given a menu. I ordered two of the three vegetarian dishes, only to be advised that they weren’t available. Husband ordered a fish schnitzel. (A large fish finger). Very picturesque setting. Very awful food. Coffee afterwards- I’m not sure how long that had gestated for. I don’t know what else to say.More

What an amazing restaurant in Kizimkazi. Perfect spot to watch sunset. Friendliest staff ever. Always asking and making sure guest were fine. Funniest Owner/Masterchef ever. If I ever get the chance to visit Zanzibar again, Karamba will be on top of the list.

Excellent fusion dishes with the catch of the day. The chef cooks to your wish and everything is served with love. The Jam is hand made with seasonal fruit as most of the things served.

I'am from Catalunya, mediterranean sea..., i really know what is good food and good paellas, seafood...etc... i can say that there i'd eaten a high level paella and seafood. Try the "cole cole fish" or the tuna, or the famous black paella... All food is...fresh. Beside all, Miquel, the chef, is so charm and kind. Great great food at great environment!!! Great oportunity to eat great paella far from Catalunya.More
