This had great reviews on Tripadvisor already and came recommended by a local transplant from Arkansas. This is a local joint with great basic local fresh food for all tastes. I had the "national" dish Casado (black beans, rice, salad/veggies, fresh fish and plantains) which I had 4 times at various places because I LOVED IT! Husband had steak tacos... More

My teenage daughter and I shared shrimp ceviche, then I had a vegetable casado and she had more shrimp. We drank nice fresh fruit "naturales." The only problem was they had no fish that day, which was a disappointment.

As I sit here writing this review, I am still waiting for my food to come. It's been 95 minutes since we placed our order. We just received one dish 3 minutes ago. We were served drinks about 70 minutes ago and we haven't even been asked if we need refills. We are NEVER coming back here. (Worst part is... More

Delicious well cooked authentic Costarican food at a reasonable price for lunch or diner. Ceviche with marlin fish, rice with seafood & the best casado i have tried so far (first time in a restaurant where they do not bread the fish but instead grill it properly). Don't hesitate to stop by.

Simple and traditional setting. Good service. The meals were very good and at fair prices. Service was a little slow, but friendly.

After spending most of the day on the road....bumpy roads....we were desperately searching for lunch when we spied this place. We weren't sure what to expect but we walked in. First let me say that the construction of this place is wonderful. Massive wooden beams provide support to the structure. Obvious that there was a lot of hard work in... More

If Rancho Tico were in the US or Canada it would probably be the family run local steakhouse that everyone in the neighbourhood has been to with family and friends. Except they are in Costa Rica. Located in huge palapa style building that you may drive right by when you go exploring the village of Nosara. Don't let the unassuming... More

Authentic Costa Rica atmosphere. Dark native wood with columns and beams of huge trees. You'll be surprised at how truly outstanding the food is. Steaks are fantastic. Try it, you'll like it. Pura Vida!

The pizza were great and served on a plank of wood. I had the grilled chicken and it was so good. The service was slow, but the staff their said they were not repaired for the crowd they had being it is their off season. Service was good. Would go their again.
