The area where this pub is located is truly amazing. Some panoramic views any nature lover would be begging for. The pub itself will give you a real traditional Irish experience , if you come here for pint or two. The biggest problem is food. Don't know, maybe it's because of a busy Sunday afternoon, but the overcooked fish and... More

I have been here many times and it's been an absolute treat every time! From the layout to the atmosphere to the staff to the food to the entertainment everything is just fantastic. This place is always busy it's well suited for everyone. Weekends are always packed and you might have to put your name down on a list but... More

You will find locals, almost locals and tourists rubbing shoulders here. It used to be just an old country pub, but ended up being an excellent gastro pub with top class traditional music. I was there twice in February, all the food is highly recommend!

We were a party of ten and were looked after really well. Had booked a few weeks in advance and got a great table. The food and wine were good and the band + Irish Dancers excellent. Will definitely take friends back

I have visited a half dozen times. It is a lot more touristy now than ever before. Tour buss loads. The show is fun if you have never seen Irish dancing and music. Making reservations is mind boggling. I have tried to email and make them over 6 months ahead of time but was not successful. The hotel even tried... More

You never cease to amaze... This was probably our 20th visit. I wish TripAdvisor allowed reviewing one place more often but I guess my name would be just repeating here over and over and nobody wants to see that :P This time I have finally decided to give mussels a go. You know, those scary looking, two-storey plate / bowl... More

Went out for a team meal while on a Business trip. Johnnie Fox's was a total surprise, goes back a long way (physically) and at the back is a dining room with a stage. Had a great meal (lamb shank was melt in the mouth, accompanied by Irish folk singers and Irish dancing - great night.

The place is really nice. The food is ok, but it is not great. The service is slow and you sit very close to each other. The music and dancing are excellent

A group (25) of us went to the Hooley Show and firstly the food was really great. Then the staff and the singers and the dancers were all brilliant. They really went out of their way to make it a wonderful night. Many thanks all.

We were a party of 14 with a prebooked table. We took the minibus from Stephens Green. We had time for a pre dinner drink before we were taken to our table. The bar did get busy but we managed to get a table beside the open fire. The food was very good with a varied menu. We really enjoyed... More
