The restaurant was high class and decorated lovely, it has a relaxing atmosphere, very personal service, highly recommend the surf and turf was amazing prices were good value we had 2 mains with wine for £70 good value for the high class ingredients as the fillet was melt in the mouth. You were served fresh bread with olive oil to start as part of your welcoming service, house red was nice and own larger was good, as we visited on a Monday we managed to walk in and get a table, but would suggest booking if visiting on a weekend if our meal is anything to go by. We will definitely be returning 😊

Heading to Tynemouth for the day and booked for lunch at ORA. A fine choice the upstairs setting was spacious but had atmosphere and lovely service from John who pointed out the special 4 tapas and 2 drinks for £22. We went with the Vegetable and Cheese tapas which was very tasty and good size portions, with a couple of beers . Great value . You may ask why not 5 stars - we both were looking forward to Falafel dish only to be told they had run out (cost a star) We would certainly eat here again

After waiting ages to try Ora, we visited on bank holiday Monday in December for an early evening tapas tea and we picked the perfect time to go. There was a good ambience when we were first sat with nice music playing and a couple of other tables also sat eating but not too busy. Staff were friendly and the food itself was really good quality - we ordered the patatas bravas, halloumi & chorizo, mac and cheese, chicken goujons, bbq wings and some fries all of which were lovely. We ordered 4 of the dishes through the happy hour which worked out cheaper than normal menu prices, and whilst the food was lovely, we both thought that the portion sizes were a little small should we have paid the original prices outside of the deal. Specifically we thought the dishes including chorizo didn’t actually have much chorizo included for the price, but nevertheless it was still really tasty. Our cocktails were also really nice and different to other places so we will happily return for both food and / or drinks, but again we will make sure to be visiting when the happy hour is on!

We have visited this place many times and have always been very satisfied with the quality of the food, excellent prices and mostly decent customer services. However, we visited last weekend and the new cost cutting ideas are nothing short of embarrassing! A breakfast which advertises two slices of bacon, has one slice cut in half and presented as two. My mum’s breakfast arrived without any hash browns and when I mentioned this to a waitress, she looked at me blankly and then walked away. Shame on owners/ management, who are clearly trying to maximise profits - Ora was just fine the way it was!

Very disappointed with the quality and the cooking of our birthday meal celebration. The fillet steak was served with black pudding and pate which were served cold from the fridge and stuck on top of the fillet which instantly made the fillet cold, the sauce was lovely! However I have this meal quite often and this is the first time I've had it at Ora and the first time someone has served it cold. For £25 the side of veg was also very poor as they had, had their life sucked out of them in a microwave and to receive literally 2 slices of Carrots a teaspoon of cabbage and 3 tiny potatoes very poor and a rip off! My son ordered the chips with his fillet and they actually had a taste of being old not good. The desert of a brownie was a small square bought in and some popcorn dried up with some syrup poured over for 7 pound!. Definitely not value for money the tapas however looked good so I would recommend anyone going stick to the Tapas. If you want a Good fillet Steak Rossini go to Sambucas 16.00 quid far superior!

Our first visit to Ora in Tynemouth we dined early evening due to the restaurant being booked up. Very friendly & helpful staff all following Covid 19 measures. We went for Tapas & were not disappointed, some of the most delicious food I have tasted. Finished off with a Cocktail

First time visiting here after recommendation. We visited on a lunchtime, enjoyed the food and found it reasonably priced. We went for the Tapas deal on the menu offering 4 x tapas and 2 drinks (wine, beer or soft drink) for £23 and we added a portion of “proper” chips with it too. Food was all amazing but would highly recommend a couple of the dishes we opted for. The Arancini (rice balls) and the Thai chicken were my personal favourite! We were served by a very friendly and attentive waitress who also gave us a tip that if visiting again then the Thai sauce we enjoyed from the tapas is also available as a substitute to the available steak sauces if ordering from the grill section of the menu. I will be returning to try this out!

This was a first visit. The food was excellent and flavoursome. What marked it out as extra special though was the serious attention given by Alex the Duty Manager to my dairy and peanut allergies. She went out of her way to explain the care that the chef and kitchen staff would give to ensure no cross-contamination in the kitchen. She and the chef advised on menu choices and that the chef could make up and price a dish if there was something in particular I would like. Normally a dessert just isn't an option for me, but she sent staff to check at their 2 sister restaurants if they had a dairy free dessert. In the end, Ora's chef adapted a dessert from the existing menu for me. I felt very safe and had a range of dairy/peanut free options to choose from. Will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Very disappointed with our foods. We ordered foods to share. We had seafood platter and meat platter. The seafood platter could have been better if they seasoned them with more herbs and spices and reduce the salt as they are so salty. It was serve with creamy sauce and small portion of chips and no other vegetables. Meant to share with two people but really not good value. I should have ordered separate meal. The meat platter was very very salty and very dry. I only tasted a little bit of chorizo and lamb and they are dry and over cooked. We left most of the meat. We have eaten the fries two portions between four of us. We complained about it and deduct one bottle of wine. The service is excellent specially the Spanish waiter. I also noticed that the staff doesn’t enforced wearing mask in entering the premises. I definitely won’t be coming back.

Visited Ora with my 2 friends today, we all ordered loaded pulled pork loaded fries and tapas side, 2 of the loaded fries & sides arrived. I had to wait an additional 45 minutes only to be told that they had ran out of pulled pork and had to have chicken instead. Staff weren’t at all apologetic and when I enquired about some form of compensation we’re unaccommodating, rude & reluctant to give a refund for the fries. Additionally, on the website (that we were told to order on) it states 2 that cocktails were 2-for-£10, we had purchased these only to be told that it didn’t apply on a Saturday (however this wasn’t stated anywhere), and then had to pay and additional £3 each. Food however was okay, cocktails were good and prices were reasonable.

Went for a special family occasion and hired the private dining room on 3rd floor. Went wrong from start to finish. Wrong drinks arriving. Then wrong food arriving. Nearly an hour after the first person got their food there was two main meals still missing, one starter hadn’t arrived, one side and one tapas meal. Then the starter meal arrived and the two main meals. No sign of the tapas meal or the side of chips that was missing so we ended giving up on them. No manager came to apologise so one of the party went looking. They said they would sort it on the bill. That was another story. Food on that shouldn’t have been and no money off for the service, so that meant another trip to see the manager. Yes we were a big party of 16 but had it booked for weeks and it was at 630 when it wasn’t as busy. Doesn’t seem as though we were the only one to have problems as friends on one of the other tables had a long wait.

Nice atmosphere in this restaurant in Tynemouth. Plenty of people eating there midweek enjoying a great choice of tasty food which was served nice and hot by friendly staff. Very reasonable prices too. The little 'but' is that I didn't feel the set up and service was quite as Covid conscious as other eateries. Still very good though.

Few days off work for half term so headed to Tynemouth for some fresh air, walk the dogs on the beach and generally enjoy the outdoors and escape the COVID19 madness. Family fancied at sit down a drink and something to eat and landed here. We sat outside as the dogs were with us and I have to say the experience was great. Tapas for 2 came with a drink and 4 dishes, just what we were after and the menu is more extensive if you are really hungry. The staff were great and we will be back, the food was delicious keep up the good work

We came here for an eat out to help out scheme on a Monday evening. We booked in advance, but still had to wait 20 minutes outside to get a table. Wouldn’t normally be a problem, but their licence meant we couldn’t get a drink outside. The waitress wasn’t that apologetic. The food was very fatty. My girlfriend, who is a vegetarian, ordered the patatas bravas and rice balls due to limited options. This deepfried duo must have clogged her arteries, knocking atleast a decade off her life expectancy. Being a tapas place, I thought the sea food might be okay. But the prawns and were so over done and chewy, the texture was like eating vulcanised rubber. Calamari not much better, and I had to leave most of it. The building and staff were nice enough, but none of the food came at the same time (I guess the most ‘tapas’ thing about this place). Keep your money

We decided to take up the government offer of 'Eat out to Help out' here last night. We were here around 2 hours. Hygiene of the premises was a let down! The Spiral staircase handrail wasn't sanitised by any member of staff all the time we we're there. None of the staff were wearing gloves or face coverings whilst serving drinks or food. Menu's were laminated so they could be reused for each table. We actually used our own hand gel after touching the menu's. Food was enjoyable but we were on edge about eating it after witnessing the poor Covid Hygiene cleaning. Will we go back! Not likely in this particular Covid climate.

Hello rushman1uk ! Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us this constructive feedback ! I can only apologise for your experience but i can assure you that we are following all the cleaning procedures in the building. Menus are laminated so they can be sanitised in between customers. The handrail is regularly cleaned and all customers are asked to use the hand sanitiser when entering the building of which we have numerous stations throughout the venue. I'm glad you enjoyed the food and i hope to see you again. Kind regards, Ora
