This is such a nice pub to eat in. The food is always fresh and nicely served. Sunday lunches are particularly good. There is a small car park to the side but there is also plenty of off street parking nearby. Staff are attentive and...More

Popped in for a pint as the Tynemouth pubs were incredibly busy. The exterior was welcomed with an ‘under new management’ sign. Had high hopes in the summer sun, however on entering I realised the interior resembled an old working mans club, the room filled...More

Went for lunch today. First people in. Looked like the place hadn't been cleaned. Food waste on the carpet. Drinks order taken. No bottled ciders or special gins available. Waiter took our order from the specials board. Came back 5 mins later to inform us...More

First visit for me. Food was ok, staff friendly. Cleanliness was dire. Toilet was the worst I've ever seen, disgusting really. Bar area very cluttered and dirty, carpet sticky. Could be lovely if it was given a makeover and a deep clean. 😞

Called in for a Saturday lunch and had the 2 course special. Great choice of meals. Huge platefuls. Beautifully cooked fish and chips and a beautifully put together ham salad. Price very reasonable and service excellent. Would definitely go again.

Had a lovely Sunday dinner just a shame about the Yorkshire puddings being frozen. I'm a big fan of home made Yorkshires and them being frozen was the only slight complaint we had. The service was excellent both attentive and speedy. Food was nice and...More

We had Sunday lunch here yesterday. They have a fantastic vegetarian choice which is more than I can say for some other places. I went for the Quorn sausage in a giant Yorkshire pudding and my husband had the beef dinner. Both meals were hot...More

My friends and I visited this establishment on a Friday evening and can honestly say that my friends were served one of the worst meals I have ever tasted. My meal was fine but they both opted for the Pork dinner. When it came the...More

We called in while in town and had quick pub meals, they were very reasonably priced and tasted great. Try not to be put off by the decor, the food is well worth the money.

Saw no dogs in when we were there but they may be allowed in the bar and not the restaurant.

I would imagine so, I am just a reviewer so if you need confirmed I would contact the pub directly. Regards Russell.
