Went to the cafe to order tea and scones only to wait half and hour... More

$25 for 2 adults and 2 children under 3 we thought was a tad expensive for what we saw. The 'play area' for the children was fairly ancient could do with a revamp and the food well $8.50 for a bowl of lettuce with a couple wedges of tomato with a tiny bit of shredded chicken that was stringy and... Great park with a reasonable variety of birds to photograph and feed. Enjoyed the walk around the garden and among the trees and shrubbery. Garden feel, rustic feel and that open-air-outdoor recreational sensation.

Feeding the pigeons and ducks is a highly satisfying experience - they are unconditionally grateful. The landscaping is very well done and I'd recommend an hour to tour the garden. The café is disappointing in terms of what it has to offer by way of food. I recommend the Nourish Café on the way back to Tauranga

I love looking around the gardens and seeing all the bird life. Nice cafe setting, great coffee and friendly service. I also like the gift shop, lovely items and good prices.

We came with the kids over the holidays, coffee was good, but menu was limited. Not much for children. I ordered a pie and it was just a gourmet microwave one :( But the brownie my daughter ordered was yummy!

Loved the way the doves come and sit on your arm and steal food from your bag or from your hand, the peacocks are great too.
