The chips were great and the fish was fresh. I am not sure what they put in there batter but it was sweet. A personal thing but I like savory.

The service here was excellence. . Seemed to be a good kiwi owned business.. batter was a bit thick for my liking but my husband liked it!

Traditional in the sense the fish and chips were served in a paper package but the crumbed hoki was a frozen fillet like you buy at the supermarket, the battered terakihi was thick with stodgy batter, not the nice thin crisp kind. Sorry, just ok....More

Craigs is one of three fish and chip shops in Whangamata and it is hard to say which is the best. We went there because we had been there before and thought it was ok. And it is. OK. Not great but OK. We order...More

Wow! What has the world come to when a $5 scoop of chips can have the chips counted in about 5 seconds. A complete rip-off. Burger was crap, dusty old bun, plastic tasting filling. Fish was passable. It just guts me when it’s my treat...More

What, did you have to catch the fish? Waited over an hour for below average fish and chips. What a disgrace, wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

This would have to be one of the worse fish and chips I have ever had the misfortune of trying, the tide was out on the thickshake and Craig should spend more time worrying about improving his terrible batter and not over cooking the fish...More

Great fish and chips place, if you don’t mind batter! Service is good and there’s many options on the menu. Definitely try the battered Moro if you have a sweet tooth!
