Our visit and meal were extra disappointing because we chose The Olive Branch for a foodie outing after spotting it in the "Waitrose Good Food Guide" and we all drove 50 odd miles from various points north and south to meet for our New Year...More

Whilst working in Rutland we tried The Olive Tree in Clipsham. It had been recommended before by the owners of the guest house I stay at when on business in the area. We arrived just after 18:00 (service started at 18:30) so it was quiet...More

We went on New Year's Eve and I think, after 20 years of going, it's all come to a crashing halt. Thoroughly disappointing. The Olive Branch needs (desperately) some fresh young ideas and very, very quickly, otherwise it risks dying on the bed of laurels...More

We dined as a family party aged 11 to 76 celebrating the latter's birthday . Exceptionally good service , great ambience and good food made for a memorable evening. They even added a few kindly touches for the event .

Second year we've come here for a post-Christmas lunch. Good value set lunch. Great cocktails. Christmas tree and fire make the ambience right. Lovely to have tables around the bar area rather than be banished to a separate room with no atmosphere. It gets deservedly...More

The food at the Olive Branch is sensational, fresh, creative and absolutely delicious. The team are professional, welcoming and extremely friendly. The venue is lovely and the Christmas decorations and the log fire certainly added a festive glow to our special lunch.

First visit to Olive Branch - cosy setting with a snug feel. The menu was good, with lots on offer and the quality of the food was very very good. If the service, which was at times slow and a little rushed/not very attentive had...More
