Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Food was lovely, tasty and plentiful.
Things to consider,
1 Buffet price is different to what is advertised on website.
2, Lunch was ruined by a very large and extremely noisy party 20+. These should really have been seated in the conservatory on their own where they wouldn't have disturbed everyone else.
3. No coffee, hot chocolate, latte available
4. Toilets are in need of repair, shabby and door sticks.

Since our last visit things have not changed too much here. Whilst the staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating, the food is rather below standard.
The temperature of the food is rather low, despite being here practically at opening time. Selection is not vast either.
The surroundings, decor and cleanliness is excellent however.
Our visit this time was based on a teenager trying out Indian food for the first time, so for that purpose it was ideal. I find it a real shame that a restaurant that has good reviews doesn't keep up a similar standard of food when offering buffet food, which gives the wrong impression of what it can offer at other times?

My partner and I visited this restaurant for the first time tonight, first impressions were fab. Staff were very friendly. The presentation was excellent but the food just lacked taste for us. Food looked very nice.

I tried Sakura for a birthday meal out after my favourite (The excellent 'Saregama' on Banstead Road) closed down, but was left disappointed. We ordered a Kurma and Handi dish with side veg, rice and nan. The food was bland and tasted more like a pub or supermarket curry than authentic Indian. Food was served lukewarm and was cold before we finished the meal. Cobra was served cold and service was satisfactory. Overall I was left feeling disappointed with the quality of the food and won't return.

A couple of my friends visited this restaurant recently and had a fantastic night with great food so one of those friends and I decided yesterday that we'd have a delivery meal from them. Never again! When the food arrived it was lukewarm at best and also one of the main courses was missing. On telephoning the restaurant to advise them they didn't really apologise and just said they'd send the dish as soon as they could! My friend said that by time the food arrived the rice and side dish would be completely cold but the restaurant didn't seem to hear and rang off.! There was no real apology and no offer of any form of compensation. The missing dish eventually arrived, again not much more than lukewarm, and when having this particular dish in the restaurant the pieces of chicken were moist and cut in small pieces, this one the chicken was dry and as if a breast of chicken had just been roughly cut in half! The whole meal had to be microwaved! Very disappointing. Would definitely not recommend having a delivery meal from this restaurant.

Food delivered as understandably in current climate takeaways only.
Chicken Karahi main reasonably good although dark red sauce a bit off-putting.
Both vegetarian and lamb main courses appeared to have the same sauce.
Although a mild dish, lamb was exceptionally bland.
Peshwari naan short of coconut.
Overall meal poor value for money.

Terrible take away food, chicken was tasteless and all dishes were full of sugar. The red of some dishes did not look real. Also they have used some aluminium containers that may have released some aluminium in the food - see image. Shame as I was told the food used to be good.

Ordered a take away. Biriani just plain spiced rice and vegetable curry was undercooked slops with virtually no substance. Everything had a taste of raw spice. Avoid. No wonder they offer a discount.

Do not buy anything with prawns in. I spoke to the manager as the prawns didn’t look cooked properly, the manager then told me they don’t cook the prawns then he told me that the prawns they use are half cooked. Such a shame as the food is normally really nice

The best curry in town. Sakura is a stylish restaurant with great food and service. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the food is tasty and fresh. The service is professional and friendly. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and attentive, without being too fussy. It's always a pleasure going to Sakura and I do like a hot towel!

Great restaurant, I’ve not been here for a couple of years and it’s had a refurb since. The atmosphere was great and the staff very polite and helpful in helping me choose something different to what I usually order. Drinks came very quickly and the food was piping hot and delicious, good potion size too. Lovely relaxed atmosphere would definitely come here again.

This was our first time here despite having lived in the area for 16 years and we absolutely loved this restaurant .staff are very accommodating and polite and the general decor and environment is quite plush but also welcoming. The food is very very good - I think we may have converted to here instead of our normal local curry restaurant! We had lamb chops to start followed by chicken shashlick and lamb Dansak accompanied with rice , paratha , tarka dal and it was very very good . Not over salted or over sweetened at all . Good value for money. We will return !

Went to Sakura with two friends this evening to celebrate my birthday. We had a wonderful time. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. They hadn’t been advised it was my birthday celebration but they obviously must have cottoned on to the fact as after our meal they brought up a chocolate mousse cake with a lit candle in it and played happy birthday to me. A lovely gesture. They also offered us all a liqueur. A great restaurant with lovely staff. I was only sorry that some of them had gone off duty by the time we left so I couldn’t thank them all in person.

Ordered a takeaway, arrived on time but needed reheating.
However, it was the overall taste of everything that let it down. Admittedly, I ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala, but did ask for it to be medium spice like a Madras - request was ignored but the sauce lacked any depth of flavour.
The mint sauce didn't taste of any mint and my Garlic Naan - no idea if they got it wrong as there was no visible signs of Garlic/Parsley etc, just a very bland/dry bread.
Onion Bhajis were really poor, 3 x small grease balls, didn't taste of anything.

This was probably the most tasteless Indian meal that I have ever eaten! Completely bland, I even had to add salt, which is something I have NEVER done in any restaurant before! Starter was a very red Tilapia, all food colouring, no spice whatsoever!
Main was shai aubergine that tasted of sugar but nothing else. We ordered many side dishes, cauliflower (gobi), tarka Dahl (could not taste any garlic), bhindi, sag paneer, all had no spice not the slightest hint of coriander, cumin, mustard seed, curry leaf ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Garlic naan & mushroom rice also dreadful greasy paratha. I will not be going again. Nb it seems there no Indian people eating in this restaurant... I wonder why?
