A great Indian Restaurant

Went to Sakura with two friends this evening to celebrate my birthday. We had a wonderful time. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. They hadn’t been advised it was my birthday celebration but they obviously must have cottoned...on to the fact as after our meal they brought up a chocolate mousse cake with a lit candle in it and played happy birthday to me. A lovely gesture. They also offered us all a liqueur. A great restaurant with lovely staff. I was only sorry that some of them had gone off duty by the time we left so I couldn’t thank them all in person.More

Great food in a stylish setting

The best curry in town. Sakura is a stylish restaurant with great food and service. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the food is tasty and fresh. The service is professional and friendly. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and attentive, without being too...fussy. It's always a pleasure going to Sakura and I do like a hot towel!More

Raw prawns

Do not buy anything with prawns in. I spoke to the manager as the prawns didn’t look cooked properly, the manager then told me they don’t cook the prawns then he told me that the prawns they use are half cooked. Such a shame as...the food is normally really niceMore

£12.95 buffet lots of choice

Came here for Sunday buffet , £12.95 for adults. Food was hot and tasty. Lots of choice and different dishes included. Chicken tikka was delicious. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

I would never go to this place again

Food was not at all Tasty. Air conditioner is turned off after 30 minutes of our stay. Staff was very rude & service is the worst. We went for buffet today (24th July) not even one item is tasty, not sure does chef know anything...about Indian dishes or not.More

I wouldnt ever buy from them again

Korma was watery , the rice had no flavour the whole food was luke warm , its not an authentic Indian restaurant for sure , dont think the chef knows how to cook

Bland and bad

Korma waterlogged, 4 “king” prawns in a puree, cold bhajis. Naan and poppadoms were nice. Bland and disappointing take away.

Terrible Takeaway

Ordered spicy vegetarian dishes but they were all bland. I do not think the chef knows how to cook. Absolutely tasteless food. Never again.

No Depth of Flavour - Bland

Ordered a takeaway, arrived on time but needed reheating. However, it was the overall taste of everything that let it down. Admittedly, I ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala, but did ask for it to be medium spice like a Madras - request was ignored but...the sauce lacked any depth of flavour. The mint sauce didn't taste of any mint and my Garlic Naan - no idea if they got it wrong as there was no visible signs of Garlic/Parsley etc, just a very bland/dry bread. Onion Bhajis were really poor, 3 x small grease balls, didn't taste of anything.More
