We had a delicious lunch on Saturday to celebrate our friend’s special birthday! We had a lovely window table with large round table plenty big enough for all of our plates and glasses. The pub looks to have been recently refurbished as is clean, fresh...and welcoming, even the toilets. Our host Harry, was very attentive, and took care of our every need. The food was freshly prepared, locally sourced and absolutely delicious! Lots of “Traditional” dishes having been given a contemporary twist. Drinks menu had a great selection of Gin and Wine, may have been more but those were our tipples. Would highly recommend this pub and can’t wait to go back again!More

We are staying in Wissett for a short holiday and yesterday, and the day before , we had dinner at the Plough. Firstly, very friendly and attentive staff who made us very welcome. Secondly, the food. Absolutely delicious. Good portions, beautifully plated. My husband positively...drooled over his ham, bubble and squeak topped with a fried egg, food of the gods for him. I must also mention the wine. Served in elegant glasses, chilled to perfection and very delicious. Wissett is a very lucky village to have this pub. Thanks Harry and your team.More

Just had the perfect Sunday Roast. Delicious food (will be copying the swede and celeriac mash), exceptional welcome and lovely setting. Kids sealed the approval by licking their plates clean (sorry!). See you again some time :)

We had a wonderful and delicious meal tonight here. The owners are so welcoming and lovely. The food was amazing…the chef came to ask me what I would like as I am vegan and made a delicious mushroom risotto - it was so nice to...have that special touch. Will definitely come back!More

WOW!! Harry, Sue and the entire staff at the Plough are INCREDIBLE!! Let us tell you why; We live in Florida, but I am originally from Suffolk. Wissett is home for me. My husband and I got married last year but due to COVID-19 we...were unable to have any of my family or friends from England there to celebrate. Once the restrictions were lifted, we decided to have our marriage blessed at St. Andrew's. We were in need of a reception venue for about 65 people. Harry offered his services at the Plough and Oh my goodness, what a dream come true. Harry and his staff worked with us to perfect a buffet menu, cocktail menu and an overall great night. The Wissett Plough were beyond accommodating. They were fantastic to work with, easy to communicate with, and always did everything with a smile. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our dreams come true and for allowing us to make memories at your pub. We feel complete now. Thank you!! Million star review if we could give one!!! SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL PUB!!!!! Love, Becca and Aaron xMore
