Visited here on Friday for lunch with a friend. The food was just delicious (thoroughly recommend the ham, egg and chips), and the staff were very attentive and polite. A nice traditional pub with great food and service.
I will be back!
Lovely mid week meal. Great home cooked mains and freshly cooked vegetables. Best liqueur coffee I've had for years! Used to eat regularly at the pub many years ago when it was the place to eat...I think it will be again. Try it and I...More
Excellent Venue for both food and drinks. I came here with my friends last week and had an amazing meal. The service was amazing from the two men with the beards and we enjoyed ourselves a lot and will be back.

Not a walk I have done but should be under a mile. I think it will be mostly be on the road. I think there is an exit on the NE of the park, behind the children's play area by the ponds. However please note that is primarily down hill to the pub so uphill back. There may be other paths more directly via the old ruins at the north of the park. Check ordinance survey for paths. This could make it around half a mile then.
