Went for Friday lunch with friend in December. Place was busy but we had booked so no problem. First impression is just a pub with very friendly staff. That’s why I am confused. £25 for a very limited menu for 2 courses. Served very small...More

Had a family Saturday lunch at this Michelin starred restaurant. Only a small menu but the dishes we ordered were excellently cooked and presented and accompanied by good beer.

A delicious early evening meal at the Swan. It’s easy to see why they have been awarded a Michelin star. Mains of wild halibut, and venison far exceeded (already high) expectations, scallop starter with smoked eel was a tastebud treat, yet again very happy diners....More

Paid a solo lunchtime trip here last week from darkest Derbyshire and can't really fault any aspect of it. Although there is a small amount of space for drinkers at the bar, this is really a restaurant rather than a pub, but as it serves...More

Description
The white swan at Fence is a traditional local pub that just happens to serve food, real ales & wines so fine that you will probably do a little dance of delight when you sample them. Backed by Timothy Taylors, fronted by team Turners with cellar queens Liv & Lou plus the boy wonder Tom Parker in the kitchen, we've got a veritable dream team going on. It will be love at first sight, smell & savour.
