We were there again last week, the atmosphere was buzzing, as ever and the food great. Don't forget the Vinho de casa (house wine) which is both great value and delicious

This is a very typical place, very simple, with a decoration of old bullfighting posters. The service is very fast at lunch, especially if you order one of the daily dishes. I think you can eat very well here but my dish (Bacalhau) was served cold and it shouldn't, the desert was fresh very good. I'll give it another try... More

this restaurant more than a restaurant is a Portuguese experience. From waiters to the place itself, the decor, and of course, the food everything is good and not pricey. worth a visit

As titled, this is a "bodega" style resturant in this small village. Price is suprisingly cheap. I went there for lunch on a work day. Most who eat there are the people who work nearby and went there ordering a whole dish. In Portugal, there're many local restaurants serve "set" food, which means just one dish combined with vegetable, patato... More

At the heart of Santarém, this place echoes decades of bullfighting passion. Not being a fan of bullfighting, I went in with an open mind. There are almost only locals here, attracted by the great food, unique mood and cheap prices. The waiter was singing bullfighting songs as he served the tables, not because he was trying to impress anyone,... More

I have been there some days ago. It was my first time in Santarem and I didn't knew where to eat. But the thing I knew is that I wanted to try something typical! I did a little research on google and I found the facebook page of this restaurant, I checked the pictures and i thought was the restaurant... More

Our first night in Santarem we ate here. The service was great. Amazing wine. Food good but not overly gourmet. Great bang for your buck. A bit greasy for me. But hubby loved it and so did 12yr old. Portions were large. Probably could have shared with my 12yr old.

This really is a place you should visit if in Santarem, the walls are blazoned with old pictures and adverts from bullfighting, the atmosphere is great, the beer and food are very good, traditional Portuguese, too. The service can be a little slow as the restauarant gets very very busy.
