If you manage to go to the security (it took me over 15 minutes) you enter in an totally new world.. Very beautyful Italian styled garden, the interior tastefully decorated and up to international standards. Island of happiness. For food they serve mainly a buffet, really good and also up to 'world class'. Sushis in the Asian restaurant were very... More

Considering the location, the building and the rooms, and all the security personnel deployed, it's a great value for money.

Serena is one of the most secure hotels in Kabul. Also famous as a 'Golden-Cage'. Some say that this hotel is the luxurious prison ;). Services are best among other comparable hotels.

It is a really nice and clean hotel with polite staff but I think it is too expensive which somehow makes sense because they have a tough security.

The Serena Hotel in Kabul is an excellent hotel with a very good service and good facilities like gym, spa and other. The surrounding and the garden is very beautiful. The security concept of the hotel is well developed. Overall the hotel is a good alternative for a good and safe overnight stay in Kabul.

Cafe Zarneegar serves delicious Afghan, Indian, continental and sometime even Japanese cuisines. Their music is soulful. Prices are higher but the experience is worth it.

Was in Kabul for 10 days. My choices seemed to be either the Serena or Q Kabul. My decision was based on security and comfort. The serene fulfilled both without question. Getting into the hotel requires multiple levels of security through a series of "air locks". I always felt secure. The rooms are luxurious considering where you are. The Internet... More

The restaurant in the Serena hotel is nicely designed and decorated in an Afghan style. The evening features a buffet that includes local and international cuisine. Stick to the local! A local band plays Afghan music. It's nice for Kabul.

Although Afghanistan is conflict zone and life can be very depressing but the Serena gives a very unique environment makes you feel so safe and comfortable. The team are awesome and especially the restaurant Zarnigar team. Brunch every Friday is the best in kabul. The spa and gym are worth the price. Only swimming pool of Kabul are in Serena.
