Cosy place. Excellent food. Very nice owners. You can try local food prepared just specially for you. It takes little bit time but surroundings is so nice that you wwill never notice that you are waiting, apart of fact that food is worth to wait.

We found this restaurant by coincidence one evening, loved it and returned for lunch the following day. The hospitality was excellent and the food above average. The secluded garden is very relaxing.

This was honestly the best food we had during our holidays. The restaurant is super authentic and has a familiar atmosphere. The food was well seasoned and extremely delicious. Highly recommended!

Small but thoughtful menu in a beautiful garden setting in this quiet village off the beaten track. Excellent complimentary tzatziki before our main courses - generous amounts and well executed. We would definitely return and would have visited again if staying close. The nearby church is very pretty too - and this is where the restaurant is signposted from. There's... More

We went here to eat before visiting the Minoan Palace at Festos and were very glad we arrived early as otherwise we might never have made it to the palace. The owner speaks good English and makes you feel very welcome. The garden is beautiful, full of trees, shrubs and flowers and it would have been very easy just to... More

It is worth going to the small village of Vori to eat at Alekos Taverna. The food is fantastic. The oven baked feta, the stuffed peppers, the mushrooms in cream and the sword fish were among our favourites. We could actually list everything on the menu, as everything we had was superb. The owner and his wife obviously care very... More

Great taverna, beautiful garden, amazing food. Probably the simplest meal I had in Greece, but everything was of such high quality and prepared so perfectly that it transcended our expectations (which other Cretan restaurants had built quite high). From speaking to the owners we also learned more about contemporary life in Crete than we had in our previous two weeks... More
