Very nice discovery this lunchtime with a formula for €20.90 with starter, main course and dessert. Slate on the wall for à la carte suggestions. Beautifully presented plates, the taste is just right, what more could you ask for at this price? beautiful sample of wine bottles on display on a wall of the room, offerings of wines by the glass….
Remember to book, the room is not very big.

Very good service - helpful, attentive and nice; very tasty and nicely presented dishes; very good suggestion for vines. All at a very good value for money. Definitely to recommend!

The atmosphere is very cozy. The cuisine is made with local products and all hand made. No pre made food, even the sauce. Very good for a special occasion and very well known. The menu changes with the seasons.

Midday on a weekday, the place is full but not very full. There are two of us and they make us sit. After about forty minutes, in which they repeatedly told us "we're coming", without even bringing us some water, we left. Very bad experience. I don't judge about the food, but the main dishes exceed €20, they must be excellent. The service is terrible.

L'Echappee is a lovely little restaurant in Modane. Interesting menu's, good food, fine wine and very friendly service. Moderate prices. Really a nice place! We like to go there several times during our holidays. Special diet wishes are no problem.

We were looking for a good restaurant in Modane, TripAdvisor suggested this one, hey well not disappointed with the trip: great welcome (unparalleled humor and kindness with children!), great service, really good food!
The dishes are homemade, that really makes the difference!
Too bad there is no "menu", but this little thing is quickly forgotten!
